Let me start by saying I'm no Amat supporter. But I have to give them their do. They knocked off one of the most highly regarded teams in the Southern Section. It looks like Coach Hagerity has them on the right track back to past glory day. Which spells trouble to all the public schools in the battle for local athletes. If Gano can get a similar thing going at Damian, we could be looking at those two school dominating the area for quite a while.

Bloggers of the web-world unite - Let's all just resist the temptation to respond to Anotherass. If we dont read his posted comments or drive by posted comments (when he tries to change names on us)or god forbid, respond to him, then maybe this adolescent trapped in a womans body will just go away. I see the name I scroll on. I recognize the writing or assinine statements, I scroll on. He is nothing but a bad rash that we all need to stop scratching.

Remember this, the Pre-league rankings are all about scheduling. But why should they be? Is there any one of us (who have common sense) that think Charter Oak wouldn't put the smack down on either of the 2 teams ranked above them? The lesson is that if you want to get some tribune love early, go out and play some softies. If you think you are one of the best go out and schedule the best. League play is the only thing that really matters. If we could match up teams to play a game right now. We would all love to see Amat and Charter Oak go at it.

amats so good because they can recruit same with all these top teams if everyone played in their own hometowns all teams would be pretty much even or even some teams that may be a little strong now would be stronger such as glendora. many kids who grew up in glendora were pretty much recruited by charter oak and also bishop amat. its not right kids should play high school sports for their own hometown schools

The three Montview teams ranked have one thing in common. THey have each played one team with a winning record and that is each teams one loss.

Hey Mr Bee!

I'm writing this early because I just dropped off your tia "La Kit Kat" at the bus stop on her way to La Puente. She's still wearing her sequence RAIDERs dress from the 80's, but she so fat now that the Raiders shield on her boobs has turned into a circle!!! Hah!!!

Come on . . . Now that is funny!!! Hah!!! :-)

By the way, Mizzzzzzzzzzz BEE (get it . . . get it!!!). I know . . . I'm so funny! Your tia "La Kit Kat" said the same thing at 3 in the morning!!!

But I digress, YOU SAY your boys won for 2 reasons? Read below you moron!!! You sure you don't to add 2 dozen more reasons, you idiot!!! Is that your private school education showing up here???

DRING IT Bishop La East L.A.!!!

DR!!!

The Mid Valley rankings are a joke just the Montview. They should consider the toughness of schedule and not the record. Paraclete would smoke those teams ranked ahead of them.

BA and Coaches,
Strait from La Salle in Pasadena, Gratz on a HUGE win for your school and the whole SGV! We miss your leadership but always wish you well. You know who we are talking about. :) Keep up the great work and best of luck the rest of your football season. Our boys miss you!

Anonymous above doesn't want to use her real name because she is truly a nasty little racist. Just look at the language she uses. Amat won last Friday for two major reasons: as a team they had tremendous heart, determination and courage; and they had specific individual players with outstandings skills and the opportunities to use them -- Darien Johnson, Davis Cazares, Alexander Ragsdale and others. Amat had the skill, determination and spirit to win against a major opponent ... and no, the opponent didn't play badly, they just lost that night

Fred,

You have got to get the Tribune to invest in a spell checkar. Some of these blooger comments are killen me! On a serious note, the only people that are complaining are the ones that lost games they shouldn't have or should have scheduled differently. Plus, we all know the rankings don't mean squat until you're half way through league play. Let Rowland and Walnut have their fun for another week and we'll see who comes out on top after their game a week from Friday. Honestly, I think Walnut will kick the snot out of Rowland only because that's what my palm reader says will happen! Oh, and SGV Fan; I'm too new to know what team you support if any, but if you're a CO fan, I don't want to see you until playoffs; hopefully in the finals. And seriously folks, if you can't read what you're typing, don't expect the rest of us to be able to decipher it.

Just noticed the USA Today West Regional Rankings under their Top 25 High Schoo Section. It's nice to see Bishop Amat back in USA Today. Way to represent the SGV guys. It's amazing to see how a small school in the heart of La Puente catch the attention of national sports editors. Amat has one of the state's best coaching staffs. Hey Joe Amat who was the last high school out of the SGV to be ranked in any of USA Today's rankings?

West

1. Centennial, Peoria, Ariz. (6-0)

2. Oaks Christian, Westlake Village, Calif. (4-0)

3. Skyline, Sammamish, Wash. (4-1)

4. Crenshaw, Los Angeles (5-0)

5. Grant, Sacramento (5-0)

6. Hamilton, Chandler, Ariz. (6-0)

7. Kahuku, Hawaii (7-0)

8. Edison, Huntington Beach, Calif. (5-0)

9. Mullen, Denver (5-0)

10. Bishop Amat, La Puente, Calif. (4-0)

Unreal....Still he is mentioned in the same breath as me. I dont see why you guys are still paying attention to dude or dudette. If you still think that is me, all you have to do is look at the grammar and writing styles in his text. Not even similar.

On a brighter note, once again, congrats on a big win against "western world" team. Whether it was by 3 points or 21 points, a win is a win. I look forward to a competitive game and may the best team walk away the victor.

and for all of you "I only blog twice a month" people, look at the history from Sept. I humbly came back down to earth and retracted my comments, In an attempt to be at peace with the community and to focus on being a huge SGV High School Football Fan instead of an ass. I am surprised people still think I am a coach, but hey, to each is own. Lastly you are funny with the kid claims.

Anonymous, your an idiot, your comments are irrelavant and tasteless. I think your in the wrong forum with your senseless banter, Jim Rome's hedey was a few years ago at least, get a life dude. What do you get out of bashing the neighborhood and residents in BA area. Your over obvious innuendos show your lack of social interaction and skills not mention your obvious lack of education and class. No one wants to read it so just write something that discusses football X's and O's or some opinions of substance or take your wanna be road show and leave. If your looking to make a name for yourself with your "wit" take it to the airways this isn't the place!!!

Thank you,

LMFAO... Come on these rankings are a joke. Pac 5 is legit and wouldn't have it any another way.

Southeast is a Joke, Rowland and Walnut ahead of Charter Oak come on.

Mid Valley another Joke, Pomona # 3??? Azusa and BP ahead of paraclete. Yeah right. I guess its all about the W.

Central dont know enough about them to make a comment.

Good to see the SGV ranked in the Pac 5.

What a giver I am . . .! I know . . . Thank you!

Congratulations to the Knifers of La Puente on your #12 ranking (NR) in the LA TIMES, and a Whopping number 8 in the beloved Pac 5 division!!!

Talk about a back handed compliment!!! I mean, by now, you gotta know that:

The (NR) in L.A. Times stands for - NOT REALLY!!! :-) NOT REALLY #12 - is right Bishop La Este!!!

And,

Inspite of your historic loss by St. Bonnie, you are being told that's not good enough!!! Just number 8 in the Pac 5??? HOW EMBARASSING!!! ISN'T???

Can you say: OVER RATED??? :-(

Say it with me: Over RAAATED . . . clap, clap clap . . . OVER RAATED!!!

ST. BONNIE LOST THE GAME. YOU DIDN'T WIN IT AND YOU KNOW IT!!!

Bring it, Bishop La Este! Bring it!!!

Good to see beating North View 62-0 is worth the fourth place in the South East, someone needs to be fined.

Notre Dame is so good they're listed twice.
