All Blue,

I understand what you're saying about baseball. I haven't seen him play on the diamond, but I've seen him play on two occasions this year. And I think even though I'm nowhere near qaulified to make the assessment that Jerry McClanahan based on what he has done in the intangibles(a leader, plain and simple) should have the honor of being offered a chance to play at the next level. Not trying to jinx it, but if Bishop Amat's season continues on this magnificent ride you all are having in Lancer land that he will receive that honor. Hell, we all know of players that have played both D1 football and D1 Baseball and have been successful at both.

And that name Jerry McClanahan, yeah he sounds like a quarterback.

Good Luck Jerry, Darien, Jonathon, Davis, Jay, Coach Hagerty and the rest of the Bishop Amat High School Football team and staff. It has been a distinct pleasure to see two of your games this season. I'll come out and watch you guys represent SGV Football in the playoffs.

Aaron,
Jerry is a better baseball player. Besides, you hear of 6-1 catchers all the time. Six foot is the ideal hieght for a college catcher, not so in football at that level. Ideal QB hieght in college is 6-4. But ultimatly he has a much better shot at pro baseball, thats why!

Aaron said:

Why not? If someone cam with an offer for him to play QB why not go for it. From the two games I saw, I saw an efficient QB...but intangibles I saw from him as a leader were amazing. That has a lot to do with the program as well.

Looks like he is seeing baseball when it comes to college so good for him, but who knows. Amat is having a great season and we'll all see how the cards play out if it continues to go this way for the Lancers.

Good luck the rest of the season.

i dont think so said:

Aaron jerry (great kid but he!s a QB. He needs to stick BB

Aaron,
Jerry just commited to UC Irvine for baseball, about 3 weeks ago!
So you will see him, just at catcher...

CIF polls (with the exception of the PAC 5 it seems) usually don't look at anything beyond record when factoring rankings. So Ball being out is not gonna change Rowland's status until they lose on the field.

yeah, the video is a bit bias to St. Paul except for the big offensive plays, TDs, and the PATs for some reason..lol! It was also shot from the St. Paul side of the field. I wanna give a thanks to the poster of the video!!! YOU RULE!!!

I tell you, that Amat defense is dangerous. They hit HARD, accurate, and in great numbers.

Aaron said:

Jerry McClanahan looks good, I want to see the Amat Offense throw some more to see this kid's talent, because he's really good from what I've seen. But as long as he leads Amat down the field and they win Stats don't matter. I just want to see this kid get a shot at the next level.

Unreal... said:

That video is awesome. Amat came out laying wood. The video shows St. Paul's good plays but it didn't show how many times Amat pressured and sacked their QB.

Either way... Awesome Video.

Wasn't the poll taken after Rowland's all-everything QB went down for the season? No consideration in polls for injuries? This unfortunate development is going to really affect this team esecially when they play WC and SH...it is really a shame.

Blue collar attitude,(this years theme)
Right now we definitly look like the wrecking crew, down right blowin it up!
As for the finish carpentry side, we are getting there. We keep whittling away, and soon we will have a perfect product. Real soon, since we are using axes, instead of knifes!

ON BLUE!!!
