Girls Volleyball: Bonita-Los Altos rematch set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Cypress College

She did not turn that(Bonita) program around, they have been good for years. She has done a fantastic job getting them to the next level and beyond. But dont kid yourself that programs has been in the top 5 in the area for last 8 years or so. The previous coach was winning league titles before he was "relieved" or "resigned" or "not charged" or whatever they called it.

Is this true and mentioned?
Didn't the current Bonita coach went to St. Lucy to interview for the head coaching job and then turned it down? She really made a good choice and turned Bonita program around in just her 2nd year. She must be the best volleyball coach in Bonita history!
Well, if it is true, then it is truly an interesting outcome of how one program can excel into the next level from one coach's decision.

You're right, I don't why I am whyning... I mean ALL the girls teams/sports still in CIF (Vollyball, x-country, Tennis) ALL get ONE rock rally out in the quad. Yes no special attention for each individual sport other than to say they are all GIRL TEAMS but hey it's a rally, right? I mean it's not a Football rally in the gym with all the students but can we really ask for that??? I don't think so. So you are right, my bad, I will now drop it, and even when the girls softball team is forced to play their home games away I will not bring it up,a nd IF ANYONE brings up Title IX I will be sure to send them your way.

Thanks for the HUGE Pep Rally you have planned for these Lady Bearcats. I know the football team has a Playoff game tomorrow but it's nice that some attention is given to these girls for making it to the CIF, just like all that attention was given to our girls water polo team that brought home a CIF Title...

Really though, can we get the school excited about this HUGE game...

I covered this game earlier in the year at Los Altos, absolutely loved how the teams competed. I have the assignment on Saturday, can't wait to see the finale.

Jaime Ornelas has been coaching at Los Altos for several years. He was the head coach for JV and assisted with Varsity. He coaches club and coached at Campbell Hall. I don't know his entire bio, but I'm impressed with what he's done so far. It's impossible to agree with everything he's done, but overall, he's done a great job.

Now that you bring that up...

Who is this coach??? I have never seen him before.... where did he come from?

Bearcats hate to break the bad news but LA has only been getting better every game all for you. Please remember this is there first year with new coach and I remember we went 3 the first time,and 4 the second at your house. Look out Saturday I'm sure they will bring it.
