Oh Miguel, are you serious? Muir? Really?

There is a reason Star-News prep editor Miguel Melendez has five or six losses every week, and is just 119-62 on the season picking high school games. He took Muir over Charter Oak in the first round, which is probably the silliest prediction ever, even for homers like us. He's like that old LA Times handicapper Curtis Crayon, who couldn't pick a thing. Take a lot at his picks. He even has San Gabriel knocking off West Covina on the road. Listen, if Muir and San Gabriel meet in the second round, I'm buying Miguel's meals from now until Christmas.

Rosemead at San Marino, 7 p.m. -- San Marino
South El Monte at Monrovia, 7 p.m. -- Monrovia
Alhambra vs. Burbank at Glendale, 7 p.m. -- Burbank
La Canada at Cerritos Valley Christian, 7 p.m. -- La Canada
Muir at Charter Oak, 7 p.m. -- Muir
San Gabriel at West Covina, 7 p.m. -- San Gabriel
Frazier at Maranatha, 7 p.m. -- Maranatha
Gahr at St. Francis, 7:30 p.m. -- St. Francis
Desert Christian at Rio Hondo Prep, 7 p.m. -- Rio Hondo Prep
Pasadena Poly at St. Genevieve, 7 p.m. -- St. Genevieve
La Salle at St. Joseph/SM, 7 p.m. -- St. Joseph

Dranchhhh watch CO overpursue as Jarron Williams, Eddie Tripp, and Geoff Vaughns' cousin Ricky Vaughns spread all over tehm. Hence issues with teh speedier teams.

Miguel Miguel Miguel,

Sorry to burst your bubble Miguel but Muir is going down and it will be ugly, Muir only has 4 wins and at best 2 good loses with Oaks and Venice.

CO has had issues with speedier teams this year. But all in all, CO has WAY TO MUCH DEPTH. By the 3rd qtr, Muir will be tired! I have CO in this one!!

Maybe if Muir got Schurr it would be a good pick but um...Charter Oak shut down the entire league this year.

I can understand the Muir longshot prediction but as for San Gabriel over WestCo...now that is baloney!
