Sunday Tribbin
Anything and anyone you want to talk about

The Drive for Five: We started the year with a question, which of these four-time championship coaches will get No. 5 first? With two weeks to go, all three have their teams playing their best football of the season. Farrar is still the best bet, though I'm sensing a meeting with Bogan in the final. Gano? You never know. Unless they stumble, they will enter the playoffs with the momentum of a four-game winning streak, at least a share of the Sierra, and the confidence of having a coach that's been there, and a schedule that has prepared them for anything.
Game of the week? Look at the list, nothing jumps out at you, except for Walnut and South Hills. If the Mustangs lose, their playoff hopes are over. If you think a different one should be game of the week, then speak!!!
Bishop Amat: Was Friday's 27-24 victory over Loyola good enough to get the Lancers a Pac-5 playoff berth? Last year they finished 7-3 and got in, the worst they finish now is 8-2.
Athletes of the week: Looking for nominations for boys and girls athletes of the week.

im latin very hot
Good to the last drop,
Ya I see it now....missed it. Yikes !
Just asking,
Man if you have ever eaten poi, you would have never even asked....Joe just about said it. I would have barffed WITHOUT the cockroach ! Poi sucks....
jcaz,
Exactly my point. Like I wrote your replies to these types of posts are a lot funnier than any of your jokes . Hence my statement of keep "up" the good work. I thought I might give some more material but I guess you missed it.
jcaz - the real question - how was the poi? and how was Maui
Coffee breath,
Look, for what it's worth, ICKEY is always a one shot wonder most, if not all of the time. Oh, he'll come in here and do a "Drive-by" that’s for sure, but really, that’s about all he ever has in his tank.
Still, I am somewhat surprised that you don’t see the sarcasm in all the stuff that I put out there in those types of responses, especially when it comes to stuff like that from people like him.
In fact, I do try to interject a bit of humor in those every now and then, but folks don’t get it some times.
Note the coffee breath jest on the header…
Look, if I were to ever really take this stuff seriously, then what would that really say about me anyway? Keep in mind my friend that all of this stuff in here is meant to be for shitz and giggles dude.
Nothing more, nothing less right ?
jcaz,
That didn't seem between the lines to me . It was pretty straight forward .Now that ending of give it your best shot buba , well that could be something to the effect of read between the lines. Any how your replies to these posts are a lot funnier than any of the jokes you have posted on the blogs. Keep up the good work .
Wake UP
Hum.....
I see your point. Maybe all this time I was a latent "what-ever" but really dude ? I mean people only see things written between the lines when they are looking for them.
If for example, I truly would have intended to imply something like that, I would have come right out and said it. In fact, if you have read this blog long enough, you would have known that I’m not the kind of guy to lay off of stuff like that.
Really.
But dude, to actually think that the prior post of his "ICKEY" was anything more than an attempt on his part to bust my chops is really even more funnier than that original post of his.
Oh, and by the way, don't get me wrong here, I don’t have a problem with him or his ongoing posts. In fact, I have always said that anyone can say what ever they want to say in here to me so long as they don't talk (in unflattering terms) about "dear old mom." You know, what I mean right ? like your a son of a b....h etc.
Truly, that would cross the line with me, but other than that, hey go for it, and remember to always give it your best shot buba.
jcaz,
Of course we knew you had nothing to to do with the joke because it was funny and your's stink. I kind of agree with icky on the double meanings in your post. One guy goes down and the back up guy comes in ??? Joe planted a yuk when jcaz went down ????? jcaz was on the side getting taped ( or did you mean tapped up) and Joe filled the gap ???? jcaz just look at what you're posting . I think icky is on to something.
Dude, you don’t realize this, but every time I read your silly azz stuff, I really do get a kick out of it.
I know that it's hard being in my fan club if only because there is only one member, you !
Your such a funny skank you know, and I just love you for it (another sexual innuendo perhaps ???)
In fact, last time, if I remember correctly, you came up with some homo erotic spiel about the urinals at CO high or something like that. You really fell for that one you know.
Toooo funny dude !!
And ya, I just love you for being in my fan club......xoxoxox
But, from now on, I think I’ll have to give you a new nick name....hum, but what should I name you ??
Ok, I got it, “Mr. Homo erotic"
Ya, I like that one, your new nick name if only because it really says allot about you. Oh, and BTW, just to let you know, your not the first one to get a new nick name by me on this blog.
Classic !
Jcaz...there are so many "icky" sexual innuendos I needed to take a shower...dude...what happened to you in Le Gay Paris???
"filled the gap?"...ouch!
"planted a yuk"...double ouch!!
Joey....I don't think Amat recruits but Jcaz sure does!!!...triple ouchie !!!!
Joe,
That was great !
It kinda makes me feel as if were both part of the same "team" here.
You know what i'm talking about eh ? It's where one guy goes down, and the back up guy comes right in, and fills the gap without missing a beat.
And the best part, is that the folks in the stands never even knew...
Yup, Joe came right in and "planted" a yuk or two on the old blog, when good old jcaz went down.
In fact, no one in teh stands ever even realized that jcaz was on the side lines all of this time getting all taped up, because....Joe "filled the gap."
What a team eh ???!!
Fred-
Chad Jefferies for Player of the Week. I know you watched the video, but more than the points that he scored on that play was the shift of "Mo" we got out of it. Talk about lifting a team and putting them on your back. Hopefully, it will role over to this week and next. Chad fought through some tough adversity to keep his composure and still lead the Tarts to a much needed victory.
I think in this case numbers/stats play second fiddle the emotion that, that one play brought to the hearts of our sidelines.
That was a great play by Chad Jefferies, with that play and the stats he had against a very good Chino Hills team, definately player of the week.
Durward Way,
My take is buried in the SMQ blog, but if you read which is when you get down to it the same stuff.
There used to be an ambulance from station one there parked next to the police cars. How we have three squad cars and nine or so police officers on station but no ambulance is bad. How it took them 30 minutes to get there from Station one has my mind going in circles, as it takes only five minutes to get to Bonita from there if you're just driving down the street. Because of that I have no doubt that I have no doubt there will be one there on Friday.
Still a lot of kids out but the way that team came together on Friday leaves me very confident going into Friday and next week, maybe the Bearcats will do what KH has said they will do, and I hope they do.
Just a question
Why do so many Bonita players going down year in and year out?
From the accounts gotta go with Chad Jeffries who threw for 237 yards on 16 of 24 , rushed for 107 yards, including a 30-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
But most impressive may have been this 1st Quarter 2pt conversion (again going for two down 14-6 in the first quarter). Check out this effort...

Legendary!
Man just barely recovering from Halloween, what a weekend HA HA...
Okay getting to business, player of the week?
Adam Muema almost 200 yards rushing + 4 touchdowns = Player of the week/player of the year Fred.
Aaron,
FWIW, Here's a a couple takes from the BoHi-D Ranch game Friday:
Markedly improved play calling by the folks from La Verne, better than what the Redskins got from Sherm Lewis.
Also much improved was the Bonita offensive line play; Pendleton had time to look up, find secondary receivers, and at times, even step away from pass rushers.
The amount of talent in street clothes on the BHS sideline was amazing.
BTW, I hear Bonita's Zach Braumgard is up and semi-around on crutches as of Saturday night. Speaking of which, why does it take so long for an ambulance at a Bonita game? The City of La Verne needs to assign that ambulance to the field for the duration of the game or hire one to be in attendance. Thirty minutes or more with a kid on the field in pain is not good.
ALL BLUE,
Interesting question, I have often said that the Farrar, Bogan, Gano era in the SGV, the watering down expansion to 13 divisions, along with the opening of Ayala, Diamond Ranch, and Chino Hills confused consumers and effected Amat a quite bit beginning in the 90s. In our little fishbowl of 30 schools we have 3 guys that have been this successful, for whatever reason, and that is rare for any small region to have that.
...and to both czechs - just to set the record straight during that same time mentioned above, Hagerty went to Paraclete and won THREE straight CIF titles ... then Paraclete won two more after he left - imagine if he stayed!?! He left to go to Riverside North and won a ring as a Offensive Coordinator before taking over as their Head Coach. After disappointing years at Riverside Poly, he won ANOTHER CIF ring at Citrus Hill as their Offensive Coordinator.
Although not in the SGV - he already has FIVE... and counting !:?)
Reality Czech,
Am I mistaken or weren't you a AMAT backer as early as last season. If so why the change.
Wilson Parent,
Yeah I understand, I'm just saying the team that I saw this last week was completely changed from even the win against Los Altos and Bonita has so many guys out that contributed greatly it's not even funny. I want to see a game for two reason, hoping that Wilson has improved from a year ago as well to see the Bearcats continuing to progress. Hopefully we get some guys back this week but I doubt it.
Lou, Steve, and Greg have nothing on Roddy Layton when it comes to working the officials; the mayor of west pomona is now officially a zebra-master. Between preventing the ejection of his LB, (last seen throwing punches at Bonita blockers about five yards between the Umpire and the SJ), and working the clock after burning down his timeouts, he must now be considered amongst the very best. I particularly enjoyed his performance in his 'round 2' chit chat with the refs while his coaches reorganized an answer to the BoHi drive.
No more time outs? No problem, go talk to the referees, they're friendly.
Need it again? Do it again.
Need just a couple of seconds for a sub? No worries, tell #2 to pretend to be hurt, (just make sure he knows he has to stay out a whole play after he pretends to be injured).
Other than than being maneuvered by the Panther staff, I give Friday's officials a C-. The only thing saving them from an D was they blew calls against both squads.
This story is in the paper today. Various school districts feel that "good students" are getting poached. I wonder if they can stop the transfers by lobbing darts such as the "athletically motivated" accusation. I wonder if non-athletes will be vulnerable to the same type of harassment. For instance, what if a losing school made claims that transfers were "socially motivated" rather than academically motivated...

Aaron,
We need to play like that for four quarters, not two.
It could be a game, but if the Bearcats play like they did this last week I don't see it. But we aren't anywhere near healthy which has been hurting us since week five.
wont even be close,
You could be right it could by 28, it could be by more. Obviously you team is better than LA, we lost to LA big so you would conclude from that you would beat us big.
At the CO game last week with 1 minute left in the first half the score was 7-0 CO. If we play like that it could be a game. I just noticed you lost to CO 31-0, we lost 42-0. A healthy Wilson team just might make it a game.
That is all I am saying.
Hagerty has two rings at Paraclete and another as a coordinator, so move along.
Nah Hagerty doesnt have anything shiny, nor will he despite your record up to this point....... two and through is all you will do amat. So hey dont worry you can always watch CO and SH playing in late Novembor =]
almost 250 yards passing and over 100 yards rushing chad jefferies had a great game. he should be the boys player of the week
Fred,
I look at the picture above and think, man where is Steve Hagerty? I sit seat and think somemore, scratching my head I realize HE IS DRIVING THE CORVETTE!!!
ON BLUE!!!
Craig Schuster is a Fraud!! Joe Scherf coaches circles around Schuster. Great job coach
How about AZUSA and Glendora in the playoffs?. Could it happen??? annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd!
AZUSA WINS!
In honor of Sunday Tribbin and jcaz' trip to Maui - I thought id give you an update on his doings on the islands.
So, JCAZ was in a Maui beachside cafe. He sits at a table under the lanai and notices an old Hawaiian with his arms folded, staring blankly at a full bowl of poi.
After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it and always looking to save a buck, JCAZ bravely asked the old Moke, "If you ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?"
The older local recognized JCAZ as a malihini and with his best island manners says, "Nah Brah, go ahead."
Eagerly, JCAZ reaches over and slides the bowl over to his place and starts spooning in it with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom and notices one of those big Hawaiian cockroaches in the bottom of the poi. The sight was shocking and he immediately barfs up the poi back into the bowl.
The old kama`aina quietly says, "Yep haole, that's as far as I got, too."
Best of luck Diamond Bar, you can do it. Yes, it's going to be tough just as the Tartans played Chino Hills and took the win at their house, it can be done!
Wilson Parent
u guys got killed against Los Altos we beat Los Altos this game wont even be close Bonita by 28
Congratulations to the AZUSA AZTECS on being the First team in clinching a playoff berth and the First team in the SGV to claim their MONTVIEW LEAGUE TITLE! Outstanding job AZTECS AND TO THE COACHING STAFF!
2009 2010 ~BACK TO BACK~ CHAMPIONS! That's going to be real nice in my rear windshield!
AZTEC PRIDE!
with basketball just around the corner...
how about thoughts on a preseason top 10?
as long as your coach doesnt shead tears on the field again you guys should be ok
Diamond Bar poses an interesting test for Damien this week. The truth is Damien controls it's own future and a Sierra League Championship is there for the taking as long as we win out against DB and Chino.
Every team, in my opinion, decides when they have "won" enough...thta's what I was told as a player and that's something I still believe to this day.
Will the Spartans, having now turned it up a notch or two, decide the Sierra League Championship is enough or will they set their eyes on a CIF title?
As hard as that is to believe few Lancers will argue their "almost" win against LB Poly did more for the players mindset than it did for the coaches. Players need to "believe" before anyone starts really playing as one and the team becomes an extension of the coaching staff's ability.
If one is to look at the division the Spartans are in it's extremely possible for the Spartans to get it done. Ranch Cucamonga and Bishop Amat are easily equal to any teams ahead of Damien. Upland has played Glendora evenly over the past few seasons, DR has played Colony, Chino Hills and Glendora so everyone is essentially on the same page...so anything is possible.
Some Amat attackers have mentioned the LB POly game as being nothing more than an "L" ...but good teams use their loses as learning tools and come back even stronger...will Damien do the same?
Gano and Staff have been masterful in bringing this team "forward" inspite of itself....now it's time for the team to "believe" they can win "every" time they take the field...that's a huge mental adjustment for the Spartans but one I've always believed they could accomplish.
Best of luck this week.
Fred,
You left off Wilson @ Bonita. If our team plays four quarter like they played the first half of the CO game, this will be a game.
THEIR SHOULD BE A CHATROOM FOR THIS PREPS SPORTS WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
