Old man in chino,
I agree with you both glendora and damien had their chances. That baseline league is for real and I think chino hills is peaking at the right moment: playoffs. The central division is no joke.

CJM,

Glendora and Damien had their chance to represent the Sierra League but they pulled a tough draw; Chino Hills survived and plays on Friday lets hope that they play up to their abilities and go onto the third round.

Wow...total sucking at life for me, I knew it was Bogan, and I wrote Gano...WTF on me!

Unlike some other people, I definitely don't drink before going to watch a high school game. I don't really agree with what Ken said, and he's a loyal supporter of Bonita as much as I. His kid came to play, I'm very sure you heard his name all night...what was even more a laugh when your announcer said "C K Huth", instead of KC Huth. You think Gano was being a gentleman, fine, no problem but that's what sportsmen do when they're up and they only have to take two knees, they take two knees. Maybe you should have read the take that I gave on your players! HuskeyPride asked who I was impressed with...so I complimented your guys, after reading that take over it could have been a little more positive because I was extremely impressed with the push your O-line got...if Bonita's line had been able to do that we'd be talking differently. I also talked about the great instincts your defensive front has.

That game was a 12 round boxing match where the Bearcats went toe-to-toe and punch-for-punch with your "gigantic" team. Ask your players and I bet you they'll say those kids they face played a monster game. Read what Don said about being respectful of your competition

Aaron,

Here is what your buddy kh posted on another thread.

"bonita started out slow thats a moster team dude.
sh i am talking about boy what a offenses line my god, every players in over 6-2 255 easy."

Maybe you should stop drinking before the game Aaron. The smallest lineman on the O-Line at South Hills is about 6-2 255. I guess that's small by Bonita standards....not!

Don't try to talk smack about a team that just smacked the pretty ones from La Verne. Without the 2 unforced fumbles inside our own 10 yard line, the score could have easily been 35-7. Bogan was a gentleman and just had the QB kneel down when were on your 10 yard line and could have easily scored with 2 minutes left.

Keep dreaming and thinking about next year Aaron, because this year is over for Bonita. Dream on...

Anthony,

As a Diamond Ranch Alumni I respect that we are playing Shurr, a team rich in tradition. Obviously our trajectories are not going to match being that DR first opened its doors in 1997.

Good Luck to both the Spartans and the Panthers!

We are...DR!!

High School sports have obviously been overcome by the WWF/MMR/Roller Derby attitudes that infest the nation these days. From what I've read here the past couple of days 99% of the fan quotes and 95% of the coach either fall into the “we kicked their a@@” category or are some sort of excuse or blame for not kicking the other team's a@@.

Whatever happened to a winning coach just saying the other team came ready to play or recognizing the skill of a player from the other squad? Sorry, respect is passé . Now it's all about how we played down to someones level or an injury to a key player or the sucky play calling by the coach or the lack of halftime adjustments or the referees were out for us or the coffee wasn't ready in the snackbar . . . wait that last one was my gripe.

Grow up and get a little class, that Raider nation attitude is not one size fits all. Everyone has kids hurt, look at the sidelines. Didn't like the adjustments? Sorry your kid didn't get in the second half. Play calling? Sorry, universal gripe, when you see Norm Chow on the sidelines your troubles will be over.

Give the other kids a little credit for playing well a little bit of the time, it hardly hurts at all and it makes your team look all the better for having beaten a worthy opponent rather than one not up to your standards.

For all of that, congratulations to all of the winners, good luck as you go forward. I do hope they move the Amat-Lakewood game to Cerritos so I can beg for one of Coach Mazzotta's special seats close to the coffee pot.

The entire South Hills football community should be ashamed of what the football program has become. It lacks dignity, integrity and respect. It is embarrassing that with all the talent at that school many of whom are not even on the team, because they don’t want to play for an undisciplined program, that the coaches can not run a disciplined organization. They are letting the inmates run the asylum. Bogan should take a long hard look in the mirror and decide if he wants to continue to work for an Al Davis (North) organization. The entire program is a joke. You are setting a tone in the community that is low class. The schools band is more disciplined and works harder than your program. Pull your head out, we want to win but we don’t want to be the laughing stock of the valley.

Oh please. Have fun getting punched in the mouth and possibly losing to Crescenta Valley. Bearcats played great, our fans were in the game...and nothing from your side most of the game...where's the South Hills following that you should have in the playoffs.

Vaughns is a stud...and when I got there I thought I was going to see the vaunted size of South Hills...yeah talk, oh well, our boys played their hearts out and you guys get to keep playing. Looks like CV is going to have some fun.

Wake Up! said:

It's time to WAKE UP SOUTH HILLS! Poor play calling...poor personnel choices..the works! Get it together and stop playing favorites and put the true qualified players in..what are you trying to prove by putting in a sophomore qb that can't hit the side of a barn...let alone drop hiked balls..whether it was his fault or the centers...it was beginner style playing compared to the way SH can truly play! If you're playing with the young mens chances of making the finals with pride issues...give it up! It's not your turn anymore it's the young men in uniform that are busting there asses in the game and through out the week in practice. If you coaches have any heart or brains..(of which I know you do) start making better choices and allow this team to flourish! Good Luck on the road this week to Crescenta Valley! We can take them...lets start fresh this week and show them what the HUSKIES are all about!

HuskyDo said:

Wow I was very displeased with how vanilla SH play calling was. In my opinion we played down to Bonitas level, and just had a poor showing of discipline among players. Well I can understand from a coaching stand point how they dont want to expose themselves to soon...... but this Husky team should be peaking at this point, not letting weaker teams dictate the game tempo. we had em 21-6 in the words of mortal kombat FINISH HIM! ( or them )

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FAN said:

to all the teams that are still alive...congrats....its a honor to practice on thanksgiving morning.....DIAMOND RANCH continue the journey to the FINALS....WE ARE DR..

Isn't it funny how every week there is a new village idiot. Introducing this weeks version ctownwalkin. Hey idiot are you related to werdup. By the way Barkley is going Scroggins might start when he gets there. For your information guess who beat Barkley when he QBed MD .You got it AMAT .

jsut sayin' said:

Amat has faced, in order, Jerry Neuheisel (who will play at UCLA for daddy), Bryan Bennett (Oregon Ducks - think USC remembers them?) , Ryan Kasdorf ('08 Gatorade POY-beat out Barkley, who won it as a Jr), and then Max Witteg (who's already been offered by Tennessee and will be next years #! prospect at QB). I don't think Scroggins is going to be any different than facing those four. All are great. That's what Pac5 football is all about. Playin' the best.
ctownwalkin-who are your guys playing?

ctownwalkin said:

i don't know about you guys.... but i'm just excited to see matt barkley's future backup (jesse scroggins) light up the vatos of bishop amat.
