Blue Pride,

Yes, Rivera will break all those records and statistically be the learder in those categories that will most likely stand for many, many years and for the record I hope he does. I hope he can lead Arroyo to at least one hopefully two CIF tiltles in the next few years. I will be rooting for him and all of the kids ove there. So yes in regards to your quesiton, I agree. At the end of the day we both wish the Arroyo program success...

Go Knights!!

To Arroyo Alum

When I say "history making" I'm referring to the fact that Steven Rivera was Arroyo's first freshman to ever start at QB on a Knights varsity team in the school's existence. While "statistically" I was speaking in terms of touchdown passes and yards. The career record for TD passes by a Knight QB, stands at 55 TD's, and belongs to Arroyo's current QB coach,
Domonic Salmon. With that being said, Steven Rivera already has 36 TD passes, and roughly 3000 passing yards to his credit in two seasons. Now with two more years of football remaining for him, I can honestly say that I like Rivera's chances of claiming most, if not all, passing records at Arroyo. As far as winning a CIF title, with all due respect, Willie Reyna's the man there. I don't got one thing negative to say about him. Great QB, great coach, and even a greater man, and the only Arroyo QB that has won a CIF title. Now if you're going by Reyna leading Arroyo to a championship, then hands down, Reyna's the best. But with Rivera's current statistics, and two more years left to play and add to his numbers. I'm inclined to think that barring injury resulting in any significant loss of playing time of course, Rivera could finish his QB
career at Arroyo with records in all the major pass departments. Do you agree Alum?

To Blue Pride,

Yes Vasquez will be a beast, I have watched him play since Jr. All American. Although I have never seen Rivera play I have heard he is very talented. In regards to "already history making"??? and "greatest QB statistically" ??? that has yet to be seen. Wille Reyna was by far the best QB to ever lead the Knights and he led Arroyo to a CIF championship in his SOPHMORE year. I wish Rivera and all the knights the best of luck next year but before we declare him the best ever lets make the young man earn it first. Best of luck to the knights next year.

A MP Angel shoutout to Jon Becerra for the all-league award.

Great Job JB!

Your pals out east still remember the 'old days' fondly. Merry Christmas to the whole Becerra crew.

Congrats to Steven Rivera and Mikey Vasquez for getting Co-Player of the Year honors. Vasquez will be a beast his senior year without a doubt, and Rivera still with two more years to add to his already history making football career at Arroyo, will definitely go down as the Knights greatest QB of all time statistically when all is said and done. So keep a keen eye of interest on him all you SGV Tribune Prep reporters(eh hem...Fred)
Congrats to all the Arroyo Knights who also earned All-League honors, and to all the rest of the players who earned All-MVL honors this year as well. Good job guys!
