Where Karing Happens: Rio Hondo Prep going for 13th title at Covina District Field on Saturday

| | Comments (1) |

If you want to watch fundamental football and one of the winngest high school programs in Southern Section history, Arcadia'a Rio Hondo Prep (13-0) will play for their second straight Northeast Division title and 12th championship overall against undefeated Linfield Christian (13-0) at Covina District Field on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Kare Youth League, where many of the RHP players come from, is in Covina so I know the Kares have a lot of supporters. You talk about playing for the love of the game, these guys epitomize it. During my time at the Star-News covering a Kares game was always a great experience. So, if you're not headed to Monrovia-San Dimas on Saturday, go check out a couple of undefeated teams that have been gunning for each other all season long.
