Boys Soccer Top Ten
1. Baldwin Park (15-0-2) – The winners of seven straight have outscored opponents this season 71-18. That’s dominance any way you cut it.
2. Los Altos (13-3-3) – Has won seven straight, and making it look easy of late.
3. La Puente (9-2-4) – A tie against Duarte leaves them hanging on to the Montview League lead.
4. Diamond Bar (10-5-1) – Is this an 80s flashback, The Brahmas are leading the Sierra at 5-1.
5. Sierra Vista (14-4) – You know what’s great, because of the rain, they will face La Puente back-to-back the final week, almost like a genuine home-and-home for the league title.
6. Mountain View – (9-5-1) – The defending Division VI champs are back, beating Rosemead and taking over sole possession in the MVL.
7. Glendora (13-4-4) – Still in the hunt, setting up a huge game at Diamond Bar on Wednesday.
8. Duarte (11-4-3) – Great overall record, but falling behind La Puente and Sierra Vista in league standings.
9. Rosemead (9-4-3) – Not only did they lose to Mountain View in the rematch, but South El Monte beat them 3-1.
10. Rowland (6-3-2) – Remember, one of two teams that tied Baldwin Park and played Rosemead and Los Altos close.

  • Correction…

LA is 14-2-3…per FYI, CIF uses records on to rank teams.

How about some love for Bonita? They are 3-2 in league, they are 7-3-1 in their last 11 games after an 0-6 start. They played a hard fought game with Los Altos going to OT and losing a heartbreaker in the last minute of the second overtime. The overall record may not be stellar, but they are at the top of their game when it counts most, in league and time for playoffs.

  • lame

Statistically, Mountain View belongs there… But i believe based on skill they should be higher…

They would have blow out wins (i’m talking 4-0, 5-0, 6-0) every league game if it wasn’t for the unusual subs the coaches keep making..

Seems like the rule in that team is that if you score you are going out…

Bonita Fan…props to the Bonita boys team. They played tough and with conviction. Wilson and DR will have a hard time beating them. Good luck the rest of the season!
