Baldwin Park could be next venue for Hall of Fame game; Baldwin Park opens zero week against Rowland, then faces South Hills

I spoke with former Bassett coach Leon Ward, who is still in charge of the Senior Hall of Fame All-Star game, which usually takes place around June. Ward has spoke with Baldwin Park officials about hosting the game, and Braves coach James Heggins likes the idea of hosting it, so expect that to happen. Also, he’s looking for East and West coaches from both sides of the Valley, first thoughts from our side are why not West Covina coach Mike Maggiore or Charter Oak coach Lou Farrar and staff. I believe Ward also is interested in approaching Bishop Amat coach Steve Hagerty, so I will keep you posted. Coaches interested in submitting players should get in touch with Ward. Two players I would love to watch in the game are South Hills’ Jordan Canada and Baldwin Park’s Jerone Cox, who were ineligible after transferring from Duarte. This would be a great sendoff, and a chance to watch we missed.
