Aram fished this one out, Muir will take on Bishop Amat at Kiefer Stadium in week three

This renews one of my favorite all-time match-ups, I’m not sure if Muir can compete with Amat anymore, in fact I’m pretty darn sure they can’t, but there was one game in particular I will never forget. Don’t remember the year, but it was the early 90s with Muir trailing Amat by four or five points on their own ten with about eight seconds left. Amat coach Mark Parades called a timeout, which gave Muir a chance to set up a play, which was a pass over the middle which was flicked outside to a guy who ran 80-yards untouched in front of the Amat sidelines and in front of stunned packed house to win it. One of the best games I ever watched. I remember because my pop graduated at Muir, and came running out of the Muir stands onto the field with his ’58 retro Muir shirt, just an unbelievable shocking ending. Aram “Scoop” Tolegian will have more on “In the Huddle.”
