    Glendora softball loses 3-1 to Etiwanda for 2nd year in a row in championship game.. (Last year, 3-0) Argyle pitched very well, but Glendora struggled in the first inning to surrender 2 runs to Etiwanda who never looked back.. Etiwanda pitcher Natalee Pulver pitched seven innings and struck out eight batters.. Pulver (4-0) gave up one run, an RBI single by Natalie Hernandez, and just three hits.. She was also in the circle last year for the Eagles pitching seven shutout innings then..

    Glendora drops to 6-1, Etiwanda improves to 4-0..
    Hats off to both teams on a nice competitive game..

    Sorry I didn’t clarify, yes Bonita received gut check early in the season, hope this puts the boys on the right path the rest of the way.

  • BHS Dad,

    Don’t fret. Yes, Claremont deserved the win, they out hit and out pitched us big time. We took a hit with 2 of our top pitchers out for the game. Tuttle-Sr. dislocated a finger on his pitching hand and McCreery-Jr. was out ill but did try to pitch one inning when the score was like 11-3. They will both be back and the hitting will come around. There are too many good hitters in that lineup. Also, the other pitchers looked good, Yepez-Sr. was great vs. CV, Garza-Soph. stepped up and held off Northview, and Murfette had great stuff in 2 appearances. For the whole team, this should be their wake up call. Just the start of a long season.

  • what the heck

    fred, how do you cover all the glendora tourny but the final game? not one peep about who won, or how the game went, or the stars of the game. i worked sat nite and still have no idea who won that game. no coverage at all? maybe i missed something here?

    Regarding the Glendora tourney:::

    Because of the time change, the Tribune deadlines were pushed forward an hour.. The deadlines and start time of the tourney made it impossible to have a writer covering the game/ ascertaining a box score in time to publish for Sunday’s paper…

    I know, I had the same issue checking to see who won the game Saturday night.. I found the score, 2-0 Glendora over CV, at: leaguelineup.com/tartans.
