    I haven’t seen that in a long time. She is blowing batters away at the plate and leading a very hot Bearcats team that seems to be building confidence every day. If she stays healthy and humble,this team might make a run in CIF

    Best stuff coming up: Amat vs St. Paul on Wednesday, anyone in the Sierra playing anyone else in the Sierra, Walnut and South Hills followed by Walnut vs Bonita. The Northview San Dimas and C O L A games will also be interesting.

    Athlete of the week should be the Bishop Amat girls basketball team for making it to STATE!!!
    Give these girls some props. Ya they got a beat down, but what about winning southern section?
    If not the Amat girls, then Athlete of the Week should go to the Animal Paez for another dominating performance against top ranked Royal this weekend.

    Athlete of the week has to go to C.W. from Bonita, a no-no and a perfect game in the same week. This has to be one of the best performances of the year…Then again I don’t know much about softball but I haven’t heard of any other softball players doing that this year???

    BA vs Santa Margarita softball double header this past Saturday. BA lost both games by only 1 run each!, 2-3 and 1-2.

    Well needless to say Paez had another great outting. I heard he was in control from the start. 9k’s in only sixing of work a very low pitch count and 1 walk. So I beleive Animal Paez should get it. He has been on since the start of the season.

    Maybe the Amat faithful who said Paez should have been warming up in last year’s game against San Dimas had it right. On the other hand, maybe it inspired the Amat team not to take any game or opponent …or win, for granted.

    Like I said, “It’s a sore subject” but Paez is really on fire !

    My game of week try Walnut vs so hills while walnut is still in it.

    walnut vs bonita no way. Damien vs D bar yes if mathews is on the bump if not then just an average game.

    San dimas vs northview, only if roll back the clock to 2009.

    I didnt read anything last Wednesday. That’s why I’m asking. Did Paez get it for striking out 12 against Chatsworth?

    I would give my vote for Crowe just because he hit game winning home run off Plutko and then followed it up with continued hitting if not athlete then for sure honorable mention.

    Wallace did very well as well although not against the pitching that Crowe faced.
