Covina Invite on Saturday at Azusa Pacific

Several area track teams are competing in Saturday’s Covina Invitational at Azusa Pacific University from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Ayala, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Charter Oak, Covina, Diamond Ranch, Glendora, Monrovia, Northview, Rowland, San Dimas, South Hills, St. Paul, Temple City, Walnut, West Covina and Wilson are among the 50 high schools scheduled to participate.
One of the day’s most anticipated events will come in the muscle event,be the boys 100 meters, in which West Covina’s BJ Lee takes on Covina’s Remontay McClain. The race also will feature a race that also featuresUpland’s Justin Harris, who already has posted a time of 10.85 seconds this season.
“It should be a great day of track, with great weather and excellent competition,” Covina coach and tournament organizer Kevin Glaspy said.Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
