Softball: Glendora’s Reese Mitchell and South El Monte’s Dean Bunting to coach in all-star game

Glendora coach Reese Mitchell and South El Monte’s Dean Bunting have been selected to coach the North and South teams, respectively, in the San Gabriel Valley Senior All-Star Softball Game on June 7 at Mt. San Antonio College. Last year’s game came during the week of the CIF-SS softball championships, which eliminated players from Glendora and San Dimas because those two teams advanced to championship games.
This year’s all-star game will be played after the CIF championships, and those wishing to nominate seniors should contact tournament organizer Scott Fisch at South Hills.

Its apparent that once again CO is cooking the books NO ROE (reached base on error). This must be a maxpreps record this far into the season and not a single one.I wonder what parent is doing the books this year? Consider yourself EXPOSED!

The San Gabriel Valley Senior Softball All Star Game is set. Mt. Sac will be hosting this event on Monday, June 7th at 630 pm. Coaches can nominate players, hopefully all league first team selections, any time. Email me at sfisch@cvusd.k12.ca.us, so I can start compiling a list. In the past we have taken all nominations due to lack of numbers. This year a committee will select players based on a variety of criteria, hoping to get the best 15 seniors, both north and south of the 10 freeway. Thanks to two wonderful coaches for taking on the head coaching assignments, Dean Bunting from South El Monte High School and Reese Mitchell from Glendora High School.
