At the midway point of the baseball season we take a look at the stat leaders, which is important to postseason all-area discussion … Once again, the usual suspect don’t post stats

When it comes to all-area selections at the end of the season, teams that post game-by-game and season stats will have the advantage over teams that don’t post anything all season. If teams do not wish to post on maxpreps, you can email them to me on a weekly basis. There is simply more accountability for stats when coaches are posting game-by-game rather than coaches than turn in what could be inflated stats at the end of the year, then nominate players for all-area. If we can’t follow what players are doing during the season, it’s kind of hard to consider those players for all area. Coaches, it’s up to you.
