Kacy Barlow returned to Diamond Bar after CIF denied his transfer to Diamond Ranch … Now he will show his stuff in the All-Star game

“There’s extra motivation because I want the (Star- News’ four-game win) streak to end. I know we can play with those guys and maybe even beat them. I don’t think it’s talent. I just think over in Pasadena they just think we’re softer. It’s really mental.” — Kacy Barlow

Kacy Barlow took a gamble and lost. It nearly cost him his senior season. Barlow, a 6-foot-5 guard/forward who played at Diamond Bar High School for his first three prep seasons, decided to transfer to Diamond Ranch for his senior season. CIF had other ideas, though, and denied him eligibility, and for a while it looked like one of the area’s top talents would be sidelined for the season. But who says you can’t go home again.

    Great News

    To all juniors
Mommy & Daddy move your kid at this level and your kid will pay the price.

    Good Luck Transfer Gurus

  • Blah! Blah! Blah!

Another case of the the kid knows better than the coach.
    “I never had a chance”
    “he didn’t like me”
“I’m the best player on the team”
“I’m a compettitor, I’m a warrior it’s all about me why can’t coach see that”
“I will make the team better”
and I don’t practice hard because of him, the reason I left in the first place was because coach didn’t given me the respect I feel I deserve, this is all his fault!

Doesn’t everyone know it’s all about me!

Don’t know the kid or parents, but it’s the same story baseball, football, basketball it’s doesn’t matter.

Come on, coach he’s probably a good player you held your ground because he’s a head case not working for the team. He left, because you didn’t see it his way you knew he was a solid player, held your ground trying to get him to be a team mate. Good stuff! then you made a deal with the devil to allow him back.

Coach don’t kid yourself, he had no other optiions, so he came back – but nothing has changed! It’s still all about him except he now runs your team!

  • I know this has nothing to do with Kacy Barlow, but former Brahma Jonathon Amaya who played defensive back for Diamond Bar and the University of Nevada, just signed with the Miami Dolphins this weekend. It’s good to see another former Brahma make it to the pros and represent the program. I think that’s four current players in the NFL from DBHS.

  • Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
