    Fred,
The Tribune missed covering a great game in the Charger Classic final. St. Lucy’s beat Bonita 2-1 in 11 innings. Both pitchers were great. O’ Toole had 16K’s and Wurst 19K’s. Additionally, O’Toole hit two doubles against Wurst. The stands were packed with fans, all wondering when the game was going to end.

  • Athlete of the Week suggestion

For only his 5th time running the event, at the SGV Championships – JR Nelson dominated the frosh-soph 300m hurdles to the point that his time would put him at No. 7 on the All Time Top 10 List // then at the NUC Combine at Cathedral the previous Sat with 30+ other WR’s – he shined at the 1 on 1′s and was one of the top 2 WR’s in the showcase – combine stats: shuttle – 4.41 // B Jump 8’10″ V Jump 29″ 40 – 4.64

  • PS – forgot one

JR Nelson’s leadoff leg for the 4×400 relay of 51.8 would have won the frosh soph 400 meters earlier in the day

  • T. T.

Fred, this kid Brittany Ridriguez from SH she pitched a great game against Glendora and the following week she pitched a great game against San Dimas, she also had clutch hitting. She kept both teams off balance. I am amazed in what type of player she is, this kid has been through so much and was able to come out and face two of the top teams in the valley. Most adults that I know wouldn’t be able to do the stuff she has been doing yet alone this 15year old kid. Talk about a true athlete Rodriguez is a true athlete. Brittany you are amazing.

  • LA Fan

Brian, I couldn’t agree more with you. I was there to watch both games and Rodriguez threw two great games, it’s too bad she doesn’t have any help from her team mates. Like you said she is a TRUE athlete! Amazing kid!

  • How about

What about St Lucy’s, O’Toole, with her outstanding pitching and bringing in the game winning run in ITB Charter Oak Championship game?

  • SURE IT IS

CJ saylor is overrrated. He is garbage. OK DAD thanks for the made up stats.

  • curious

Who won the South Hills vs. San Dimas game?
and the South Hills vs. Glendora game?

  • SDP

LA Fan… her team mates had her up 5 runs to 2 til the last inning. how did they not help her? less u mean the pitcher that was broght in and lost the game?

  • LA Fan

Sdp, you are right the pitcher that was brought in did loose the game for SH. Rodriguez had SD beat til they brought in the other pitcher. She had both teams off balance.

  • That’s funny

Didn’t get a bite on that, so you had to repeat yourself 7 hours later. It’s not like you didn’t think it wasn’t accepted and accidentally hit send again, you actually reposted.

  • Don’t Drink and Blog

That’s Funny- That’s why sensitive parents 1)Shouldn’t read the blogs and 2)Never post regarding your own kid. Got it LA Dad? Everyone “else” didn’t help her, it was the “Other” pitcher who “Lost the game” for the team. Your kid did everything in her power to win and now the blog nation knows that… Was your girl the starting pitcher or one of the other 8 who let her down? Don’t blog about your own kid. If she deserves the Gloss someone else will give it to her. Now your just being an unsupportive parent/fan.

  • it appears

it seems that “LA Fan” and “T. T.” are the same poster based on their repeat post style

  • HA-LOL

And then he answered himself as another poster “Brian”. Ha, Ha, Ha! Very weak – Dad.
