1. Bonita – although they had a tough time solving St. Lucy’s Danielle O’Toole, they were equally dominant on the pitching end as Chloe Wurst fanned 19 while only giving up 4 hits.

2. Glendora – they managed to come up with timely hits against St. Lucy’s but the team is playing quite flat since the Charter Oak tourney.

?? St. Lucy’s – they have an outstanding young left-hander in O’Toole, but not much else in the way of offense. Their coach continues to struggle with offensive strategy in addition to his emphasis on inexperienced underclassmen, which further hurts their cause.

SL is 0-4 in the league, Glendora is 4-0, ’nuff said.

SL has had some real weak teams in their schedule to fatten up their stats (Blair, Harvard-Westlake, etc.). A .049 higher batting average is nothing to brag about. Glendora isn’t that good either.

SL has some talented juniors and seniors that sit the bench for some unknown reason. Suggests to me that the issues are typical of high school teams in general, politics & favorites. Glendora has the same problem with their coaching staff.

St. Lucy’s starting 2 freshman, 6 sophomores and 1 junior beat Bonita, not bad kids.

Come on “Who Cares?” Glendora did play some “pad the stats” teams as well, like South El Monte, Monrovia and Dana Hills. Oops, I forgot, Dana Hills mercied Glendora 0-10.

Wouldnt it be nice if there was some other way to tell which team is better, other than coming on here and entering into these pointless arguments?

Maybe, if each team played each other 2 or 3 times over the course of the season, and they all play the same group of teams 2 or 3 times, and the one with the best record was declared The Best.

That would be neat if they could do that. Someone should look into this.

The rankings should and probably will stay the same. No changes will be made with the top three Fred knows you can not make a team #1 who probably won’t even make CIF. St. Lucys is showing promise but only as a young team with consistency missing. Like the Guru said Otoole on the rise

What about SL field play? They do fine out there. Some spots have some problems but for the most they are a solid fielding team. Just wish they put up the fielding stats so it could be seen to all who don’t come to the games. Otoole has been doing great but she is not the whole team as you can see by her record. She has given up walks then homeruns to shut us out of games and when hits against her theycome they come in bunches. The lineup is changed usually from game to game so it’s hard for them to get in a groove for hitting.
