  • SGV FOOTBALL

Even though its not football this will be a great game. Anytime you have two SGV powers going at it in any one of their dominate sports the SGV wins. We get to watch emotional filled games with highs and lows but one thing is for sure is that the fans can’t go wrong wrong with these two teams playing great ball right now. I think Im going to head out to this game. This is being played at Mt. Sac right??? Also what is the start time?

Redlands East Valley stay as the #1 team in this week D2 poll will be a short one as Redlands beat REV 4-3 today on the road. REV in a surprise started ace sr lhp Griffin Murphy who is their friday pitcher. Perhaps with the game vs city rival Redlands and a game vs Yucaipa next wed Coach James Cordes decided to start Murphy.
Last time out Murphy overpowered Redlands winning 10-0. Today he was not sharp and Redlands managed to get key hits in the 2nd and 3rd innings to take a 3-0 lead. All the runs were earned runs. REV did rally to tie the game in the 5th inning. Redlands starting pitcher jr lhp Jacob Maiberger is a junk ball pitcher and was effective for 3 innings. The last of 2 relief pitchers sr rhp Charles Lutz struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh leaving a runner on 2nd and no outs.
If Glendora can sweep Chino Hills they will move to the top spot in the D2 polls and possible in the cifss playoffs.
