as a matter of fact "David Acevedo" i play for this little school called penn state, ever heard of them? haha i'm not jealous if anything maybe i'm down playing my brother if that,k? peace little guy on this little blog =)
Chris you're no different than the rest of the hater parent/coach/athletes/unemployed individuals with too much time on your hands. Nobody cares if you think Aubrey sucks, cause Steve S. thinks hes a good athlete and that's all that really matters. So stop being jealous you or your brother don't have a scholarship to Washington.
SGV430;
Thanks for the heads up, but does it really matter who I am?
I don't regret what I say on here. I stand but what I said about Aubrey. He has incredible talent and much more potential, but there are questions about his coachability. I really hope he matures and takes advantage of this opportunity that so few get.
Walnut insider,
Watch what you say. People are closing in on you!!
SGV430 OUuuuut!!
hahaha that second catch against south hills was against the 5th string defense, i would know that's my brother haha this guy sucks!!!!!! and where was he on defense against south hills, hahaha SUCK
Walnut In-Snider I do know Aubrey and do know how hard he's had it and like many young men he's found sports to channel his energy. The mystery here is why you insist on saying he needs to grow up, needs to be a better team mate "all the time" and some how this blog will be the vehicle for your sage advice. NOt everyone handles the abuse of being a man child as well as Rio Ruiz, or is it that at Amat he's just liek everyone else....a Lancer first , last and forever.
Wouldn't it be more productive to take the young man aside and say what you have to say to him privately rather than come across as knowing things about the young man, as if no one else does. Chipping away at his security is how I see your comments, snide chipping remarks and not productive advice by any means and your tone "I didn't want to talk about his dismissal", creepy to say the least.
Here's a news flash! Kids who grow into man sized bodies are still not as mature mentally as they are physically. Ever wonder what it's like looking like a man at 14 and having adults treat you harshly ?
Your advice might make you feel better about your in-snider status but it's bad form where I come from. Several of his former coaches were talking once and we marveled at his progress, WE'RE ALL PULLING FOR HIM!!!
You made your point to "him" I've made my point to "you".....is there anything else you "NEED" to add? I certainly hope not.
AUBREY COLEAMN IS A GREAT PERSON I KNOW THIS YOUNG MAN PERSONALY. HE HAS A GREAT HEART .ANG A GREAT SPRIT HE HAS TALENT NO DOUGH ABOUT IT AND WHAT YOU GUYS "SEE ON THE FIELD" OR "ON THE COURT" IS HIS PASSION FOR THE GAME HE EAT SLEEP LOVES FOOTBALL... SPORTS.. AND IF YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW.. HE HAS NOT BEEN HANDED SQUOT HIS WHOLE LIFE HE WORKS FOR EVERYTHING HE HAS AND HE WORKS HARD. HE HATES TO LOSE HE IS A WINNER AND HE WILL MAKE IT.. GOOD LUCK TO YOU MR.COLEMAN I HOPE TO BE ASKING FOR AN AUTOGRAPH FROM YOU ONE DAY.. DONT WORRY ABOUT THE HATERS THEY COME AND THEY GO. THEY JUST ALL WISH THEY HAD WHAT GOD HAS GIVEIN YOU: A GREAT BODY, SPEED, TALENT, SWAGER, AND HEART TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO MAKE IT IN ALL THE ROUGH TIME YOU HAVE HAD.. GOOD LUCK AT THE NEXT LEVEL HOPE YOU MAKE IT ALL THE WAY...
You've Said Enough;
Either you don't know Aubrey or you are just making a sarcastic comment about his upbringing. He definitely didn't/doesn't have the golden spoon life that you talk about. You want to talk about his home life now? I don't think so. It's all the more reason that he should take advantage of this opportunity. I don't know why that would require me to apologize. I'm not saying he isn't going to make it, I am saying he will need to change to make it.
Whether you want to face the facts or not is up to you. You can go talk to players and they will tell you that he is an incredible talent, but that he isn't the best teammate all of the time. When he goes onto the next level he needs to be coachable, which I haven't seen much of.
He has a lot of growing up to do over the next few years and hopefully he realizes how lucky he is.
Walnut Insider, did you have issues to work out in high school before you reached your eventual adult zenith? That's the second time you approached the dismissal issue and repeated the "I won't talk about it" mantra. Still a douche. So the "Truth" has to come out? How about his upbringing. Why not discuss the silver spoon life he's had to this point in his life. How he's been spoiled with life's riches all his life and how he takes it all for granted. My guess is you don't know much about the kid and your tactics are slimey at best. Insiders like you have a lesson to learn in life as well. A player of his talent might, and I say might, turn his life around for the betterment of others. Look at Caron Butler's story for guidance the next time you feel the need to educate the public to a misguided and troubled youth. I hope this young man's story is an uplifting one some day and you privately apologize to him. I was a round before he reached high school and have kept an eye on his journey. Too bad he hasn't avoided yours.
Good day sir, you'd said enough.
WOW!,
Sorry that the truth seems to bother you. The fact is that something led to his dismissal and I won't go into the details, but that is a very important factor when judging his character.
Aubrey is blessed with size and strength and he better surround himself with people that will tell him the truth and not be a bunch of "yes men".
I am happy for him that he has this opportunity, but I think he has some things to work on...and it's not his footwork.
Walnut Insider...gee! ..I'm glad you "didn't want to talk about it" !!!
What a joke you are. Maybe Washington should put you on their payroll.
Why don't you put out your contact numbers:
1-800- UDO-UCHE or 1-800-RAT- FINK or 1-800-DIR-TBAG
Be happy for the kid.
Hopefully this turns out well.
The one thing I would be concerned about is how coachable is he. There was a situation during the basketball season, that I didn't talk about, that led to his dismissal from the team. That won't be tolerated at the next level.
Let's hope he matures and takes advantage of this situation.
congrats to aubrey. have fun your senior year.
and tech any college coach is glad to see a player who performs physically enough to have this much hatred from opposing coaches/players/parents/fans.
go mustangs
slowdawg,
You idiot, you sound jealous to me. If he had been at Amat, he would have been a force on our line. The coaches would done some great development work on him to improve. Congrats to this young man and good luck at the next level.
too many people hating on Aubrey here. It's funny how everyone who leaves hateful comments always leaves them under a anonymous name. But what i really want to say is congrats Aubrey, and don't forget you still have your senior season at walnut to tear it up.
I'm just lauging that all these highlights came against my team the Arroyo Knights. To bad he could put up highlights against a team that stacked up better man for man. Think about it 6-5 TE going against a 5-8 saftey and 5-9 linebacker. Highlight film all day.
Tech,Tech, Tech, It's time to let it go dude. The consences is that in football, you can't break a collarbone by grabbing the facemask. You totally missed the fact that another player actually made the tackle and drove the players shoulder in the ground. That's football. Players get hurt all the time. We just hope it's not serious. Why not just say congratulations on getting to the next level and I wish you luck.
SGV430 Ouuuut!!
I saw Aubrey play a few times last season. He IS the best D-1 football player in the San Gabriel Valley hands down(I have no ties to this school). This kid had a NFL body LAST year.HE IS 6'5"plus and will be stronger and faster next season. When you see him on the field he looks out of place because he's so much better then anyone else on the field. I am surprised that another school didn't try to steal him from Walnut. Don't knock this kid any coach in the valley would take him on their team in a heart beat.If you get a chance go see this kid play next year then you can say you saw him play in high school when he's playing on TV in college.
Congrats to him. Let's hope they teach him how to tackle there if they have him on defense so he doesn't take out the Oregon QB for the season as well.
After reading some of your comments, I figure it's time me to chime in. First of all I haven't seen Coleman's highlight film. I saw almost all the games. I will tell you all this. This kid is a true prospect. He has the frame that can either be a big WR or put 60lbs on him and make him a major weapon as a tight end. Or put a few more lbs on him and make him a DE. I almost felt bad for those little dbs tackling him.
Slow Dawg U must be a real moron. You said slow off the ball and bad footwork. First of all how many 6-5 guys look quick off the ball in open space. I think the footwork issuses you mentioned can be fixed with this thing called coaching. You also conviently forgot to mention great hands and hits like a ton of bricks. You also can't teach a 5-9 guy to be 6-5. And you're right Amat and Charter Oak would have no use for a guy like that. I can see both coach Farrar, and Hagerity tell him. "Son we just don't have a spot on this team for you.
Guys let's stop drinking on the Haterade and be happy that another SGV kid is getting the opportunity to go to school and get a education for free. My advice for Mr. Coleman would to be to make sure you come out of the whole big time college football experience with the one thing that can't be taken away, A college degree! Because that is what this whole thing is supposed to be about. Some of you "Adults" on this blog need to get a life.............or a job. Stop trying to tear kids down.
SGV430 Ouuuut!!
Slow Dog you're an imbecile. Look at the film at 4:45 on. He easily out runs over person on the field and gets behind the return team's blockers before they have time to react. He's a stud athlete. He's an interesting story as well and I for one wish him nothing but success.
He doesn't sit anywhere...Pac 5 included. What a talent!
all you haters can shut up becaues he has the offer and you and your son does not. How about that Coach for Rowland HS? How about that West Covina? How about that South Hills, I did not hear of any of your players receiving any offers from any Pac Ten School or high div 1 college. All you haters can shove it!
As for the idiot that said he would be riding the pine at Bishop or Charter, your truly an idiot, becaues he would not only start he would dominate. You must not know anything about football becaues coaches love 6'6 220 pound players that play as agressive as he does. So much hate whay not congratualte. I am proud of you Aubrey.
No foot work, slow off the line. He would have rode the bench at any football school like Amat or SH. Not hating just truthing!
This video must have been created by a child. Had a hard time locating him until the end of the play. There were many plays where he was too far away from the ball. It sucked. As far as the kid is concerned, good luck to him.
He will screw that up.
Your just jealous Big Dawg, all those negative post about this young man earlier this year and look, he get's an offer beofre anyone does to a Div 1 school. Great job Aubrey!!!!!
Not impressed at all?Washington will be a good place for him.
