This is a big weekend in track and field, which will have Saturday’s CIF-SS divisional prelims. They will be held at four sites. Division 1 is at Trabuco Hills High in Mission Viejo; Division 2 at Moorpark High; Division 3 at Estancia in Costa Mesa and Division 4 at Carpinteria High. All four meets begin with field events at 11 a.m., with the running events scheduled to begin at noon. The finals are scheduled for Saturday, May 22. The area will be led by sprinters Beejay Lee of West Covina and Remontay McClain of Covina. They have two of the quicker times in California in the 100 and 200 meters, respectively. Bishop Amat’s Kylie Price, one of the better competitors in the 200 and long jump, also is expected to do well.
