Baseball: Glendora stays on top of Sierra with win over Chino; Damien gets huge win over DBar

Glendora 9, Chino 3: The Glendora High School baseball team got an early test from visiting Chino in a Sierra League game Wednesday before an unheralded player came off the bench and sparked a five-run inning to help the Tartans remain unbeaten at home with a 9-3 victory.

Damien 12, Diamond Bar 8: For the first time in recent memory the three playoff teams from the Sierra League have been decided before the last week of the season. Damien High School, the Tribune's fourth-ranked team, took advantage of five hit batters and seven walks to beat seventh ranked Diamond Bar 12-8 on Wednesday afternoon.
