Rosemead's mental bottle of get tough: White Helmets? Like the concept, but it takes more

| | Comments (6) |

Rosemead is hoping that by ditching maroon for white helmets that it will somehow make them a tougher football team, according to coach Matt Koffler, who told Aram he wants to see his kids work harder and play tougher. I guess with white helmets you'll look like a warrior with every scratch of your opponents paint, but I'm not sure it will make you play like a warrior. That has to come from within. If this works I'm petitioning UCLA to drop the powder blue.

how about the old Rosemead Rebels flag logo on the helmets, i know its not Politically correct, , it was a confederate flag in the shape of a football, had to replace it a few years ago because it was considered racist, just plain stupid

Trojan Man, even you have to question the logic of purchasing white helmets along with, I presume, matching new uniforms when the schools are strapped for money. If Koffler wants players to think "old school", make them shave their heads and save the District some cash. Heck most of them their heads shaved already!

How about Sock Hops?

White Helmest....Did Koffler go to USC or Penn State ?

I think he's a bit confused. Are they painting the helmets white, don't think so. Doesn't that void the warranty?

So in these economic hard times he's getting new uniforms and helmets? Nicccceeeeeee !!! Isn't Rosemead only 'ONE" year away form a Finals appearance, and suddenly they're 'SOFT" ?

Maybe the coach should wear a white hat and leave it at that.
