San Dimas at Bonita, Friday, Sept.3 Not what does Loser 4 Life needs to express.If you have not been to a Smudgepot game or played in the game than you have no comment.     that was at a San Dimas vs Bonita varsity volleyball game in 2007? someone in the stands threw a water bottle and a parent from bonita and san dimas got in a verbal argument and then started throwing punches. one of the craziest volleyball games ive ever been too. great rivalry. go bearcats

    Sounds like someone is crying foul because this topic is about a great rivalry and not about Bishop Amat. Oh well. I do not know who will win, but I know who I want to win. I think the Bearcats are ready especially after last year’s debacle at SDHS. We shall all see!

    Fred – why on earth would you show the picture of the volleyball fight. THat was a low point of the rivalry and does not represent what the smudgepot is about at all. Nice job bringing up a very bad moment of the past. We would like the rivalry to be spirited, but civil. We are talking about high school afterall. No class guys.

    Cal Preps has S.D. winning 35-13. For both teams it is a major game to set the tone for the entire season. S.D. with a title under its belt needs to prove it was no fluke in its march up the rankings. Thier line play on both sides of the ball will probably be to much for Bonita to counter. For Bonita they have a load of returners but these guys have yet to prove they can win a big game. They need to prove they can take a hit and fight back without the dirty play they are getting the reputation for. I predict a closer game but the win goes to San Dimas 42-27

    san dimas is the reigning CIF Champions. the saints are tougher bigger and harder working. they will beat bonita easily. the game will be over by the end of the first quarter. bonita has no athletes, no size, no drive. the kids are too small to compete with san dimas. the parents of bonita kids spoil them too much. there is no way bonita wins this game. because this game has such a playoff type atmosphere its great that the bonita kids are going to get the wind let out of their sails so early in the season. i say after they get spanked by san dimas they might not win another game the rest of the year.

    Did you really have to come on here with that b.s . The smugdepot is a very big game for both SD and Bonita and the SD / La Verne area so at least show some class and respect that fact . No need to come on here and show your ignorance . SD is a defending CIF champ so they are not losers and neither is Bonita . You want the SGV to show us respect then show them some also . At least wait until someone puts AMAT on blast then reply but to come off the wall as you did was uncalled for and if that ring is a CIF ring that makes you in your early 30′s so grow up .

    SD kids are just as spoiled as La Verne kids. Both communities are quite affluent.

    P.S. Even a bunch of rich kids can win a state title…look at Canyon Country Canyon in 2007!

    bonita kids are a bunch of migets and trust me compared to canyon country canyon there is no comparison. size does matter let me see who would you take in a bar fight aram or steve ramires? yeah point made now lets see if you actually get it. san dimas are some big kids and from a harder working area. they are the cif champs u twirp. they are going to beat bonita and it is going to be embarrasing. lets get arims take wake up and smell the coffee you little twirp there is a chance that bonita wont win a game this season

    We have a couple of “Al Bundys” in this comment section. Lancer for life is deffinetly an Al Bundy, probably still wears his letterman jacket to the local bar. And Otto Nairb or whatever the hell that name is, also carries the Al Bundy gene. Hey Fred what’s up with the fight pic from a Volleyball game? I bet you blasted people in the past for poor sportsmanship. I think you need to blast yourself for that one. This is a great game with a great past, lets keep it that way.
