Here is this week’s volleyball top 10, which St. Lucy’s showed its the top team after taking down previous No. 2 Los Altos on Monday:

2. Bonita(0-0) — Hopes to test No. 1
3. Los Altos (1-1) — Out of sync vs. St. Lucy’s
4. San Dimas (0-0) – Faced Bonita on Tuesday
5. Chino Hills (2-0) – Doubled up on Diamond duo
6. South Hills (0-1) – Swept by St. Joseph’s
7. Glendora (1-0) – Looked good in opener
8. Walnut (2-4) – Mixed reviews in week one
9. Bishop Amat (0-0) – First test comes next week
10. La Puente (1-0) – Gets Azusa in opener

    I might be mistaken but I thought that San Dimas lost to Charter Oak (unranked). And then Charter Oak went on to lose to Northview (also unranked). If so, San Dimas moving up to #4 doesn’t make sense.

    No sign of Diamond Bar after a big win? I guess they did lose in 3 pretty easily to Chino Hills but still.

    1 vs 2. Tomorrow night. Who’s home?

    The SL/Bonita game is at Bonita.

    A home game helps Bonita’s chances and if any local team can beat St. Lucy’s it will be Bonita, but I still predict a St. Lucy’s win.
    San Dimas is overranked at #4. Those scores werent close.

    I can hardly wait for tonight’s game. I know SL will be trying to make a statement as they did with LA but I also know the Lady Bearcats are very excited to have them at home. Should be a fun game and a great measuring stick for Lady Bearcats, taking SL to 5 would be Great!

    It’s hard to make a statement when you don’t have your top six. SL is working hard to stay afloat and make the best of each game.

    She sprained her ankle. the back up setter is very good and has played club volleyball for years. she would start for most hs teams. not much of a drop off at all. they will be fine and bonita will be dominated tonight

    St. Lucy’s defeated Bonita in 3.

    Bonita is a strong team. Incredible performances by Callen, Young & Warmington. Strong kills and blocks.

    Please try to support all of the local teams at Ganesha’s Tri City Tourney. Hopefully, GHigh can provide schedules with venues, etc.

    If you are traveling beyond the Orange Curtain, here is a link to a great tournament in OC. Has a number of local teams (Upland, Bonita, Ayala, etc.) and some true powerhouses (Newport Harbor, CDM, El Dorado, etc.).

    Sounds like a pretty evenly matched field G high. If I was making a prediction, I will take Charter Oak or AB Miller, although I dont have a lot of knowledge some of those teams. Good luck and hopefully the SGV teams do well.
