I haven't had a cig in 6 years. The nastiest thing related to giving up may be the initial 1 to 2 weeks. brand-new heard of the new Kinect? Its really awesome! I never had much fun playing gaming system before, eventhough I could call myself the hardcore player this usually plays mmorpgs like Call of Duty and stuff like that. The Kinect is definitely so different than everything else I have ever played before. the motion controles work really well, and in addition to that, but not being forced to use a controller to learn is the personification of freedom! No troublesome button smashing any more, a single word will do! You should think about getting any Kinect!.

Trust that the Family respects the tradition at a school like Cathedral. Truth be told the Phantoms have a great field with a spectacular view of the city. Many of the Lancer faithful will be there to watch the sunset over the high rises. Granted, the seating won't be sufficient to support the Lancer following, but it's probably perfect for most games.

Another fun fact to know and tell about the Amat/Cathedral connections... Upland Head Coach and Amat grad Tim Salter began his head coaching career at Cathedral (his Dad's alma mater). He musta had a bunch of purple in his wardrobe from his days as a Whittier Poet!

Norco, sounds like the makings of a good game out there with Roosevelt. Should be a fun one. I will be waiting to hear the outcome of that one!
Also agree that there are some REALLY good teams out in the I.E. Hopefully some of those games will come to fruitation in the years ahead. Good Luck this week!

I do think there are some great teams in the PAC5...But I also think the Inland has closed the gap in the last few years, top to bottom I don`t think the PAC5 is as strong as it used to be IMO. I do believe however the Inlands top teams would have some great games with the top teams from the PAC5. As for Roosevelt...that will be a very good game...Norco will be pumped for this game...Roosevelt actually turned in Norco to CIF for recruting and contested the 5 players that transferred from Roosevelt to Norco...so there is some bad blood...so we shall see

You can take the Metro express bus right out of El Monte station to downtown and pick up the North bound bus up Broadway. It will drop you right across the street from the school. All day Metro pass is $6. Plan an hour of travel time.

Not a bad way to get to Dodger games either for some of us who loathe the $15 parking surcharge assessed by those two carpetbaggers from Boston.

But of course, I digress . . . yet again.

Norco, don't let'em get to you brother! Everybody hates a winner...You should know this;HOWEVER, that being said, to dismiss the Pac5 as Old News is somewhat careless don't you think? Still some very good teams in the Pac-5. Some that would still present a hell of a game for Norco too. Every league and every team within that league suffers their ups and downs, no? Good Luck Norco and I'm kinda interested to see how you guys do against Roosevelt too. Got a couple of friends from there and they seem to think they are ready for ya? Nice idea on the bus and thanks for the parking tips but since we are new to Cathedral we are THE AMAT or LANCER FAMILY . We have stressed that time and time again but it is bad rub on us to call it nation ( as in comparing us to raider nation ) or bishop . The haters love to use it against us and I don't feel you are of that group by your post. It may seem petty to many but not to us .

Mardsen, Thanks for the info. I hope we can get a bus together because that sounds like the ticket. What about the metro link or the Gold line? How far is it from Union Station? Maybe I can get a cab from Union Station and hitch a ride home with a fellow Family member? I actually like playing different schools, Garfield, Cathedral, Muir and Venice. Garfield and Cathedral have been around forever and they have a lot of pride, history and tradition at their respective schools. I look forward to a good contest Friday night. Amat vs Cathedral: For years Cathedral was in the same league with Crespi and Serra, then Serra and Harvard Westlake for years and they always had talent, speed and decent coaching. The talent and speed are still there and the coaching has improved. They always play Serra tough and last season advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs, losing at home to Oaks Christian. Even though that game turned into a blow out CHS played OC better than even in the 1st half. Fatigue and OC's talent at all positions did them in.

Amat should win this game over a young and inexperienced Cathedral squad but I think we will see a very competitive contest. CHS is excited to host the Lancers Nation at the Graveyard. This game is a big step up for the Phantoms and we appreciate Amat agreeing to this game. Be sure to visit the snack bars (we have 2): the food and service are excellent. NOTE: At CHS you buy food tickets first then move to the window to get your orders. The lines move as quickly as folks can decide what they want to eat.

SUGGESTION to Lancer Fans: CARPOOL or BUS! Parking at CHS can be "challenging". Your cars ( and your persons) will be safe if you park on the street. If you park on the far side of Broadway please be very careful crossing the street.

No coach calls off the dogs with only a 28-7 lead. You really expect us to believe that your coached subbed in Norco's JV squad and it was actually Norco's JV squad that gave up 28 points and over 500 total yards? Please! Let say its true. Let say your coaching staff subbed that early (would have to been at the end of the 1st quarter). No good coaching staff subs with only a 28-7 lead THIS early in the game.

So it's either Norco got smoked by a turnover prone Etiwanda in the stat department or Norco has some very bad coaches. Which is it?

DB is gong to beat DR in a landslide DR is over rated and DB is hitting on all cylinders. But DB defence is struggling which may keep DR in the game. All DB has to do is pass the ball and stop the run.

The "problem" as I see it, is that every team that Amat goes up against, is bringing their "A" game and gunning for Amat. Amat does not have the luxury of having an off game.

ok......So I want to hear what you have to say about Norco easily beating Upland? We had them down 28-7 when we called off the dogs...Our JV finished the playing the last seven minutes of the game. A few weeks back you did have something to say about Upland being ranked ahead of Norco in the CIF polls.....
