It's with a heavy heart we report that former Northview wrestler Jesse Cruz died Satuday
I have some very sad news to report: Jesse Cruz, a two-timo time state qualifier while wrestling for Northview High School, died on Saturday while wrestling for Rio Hondo College in a tournament at Mt. SAC. He was only 20. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I have to have a myspace design and style, was questioning in case you or your viewers could place me in the proper track?
huge tally you've receive
Keep working ,remarkable job!
It is unusual for me to find something on the cyberspace that's as entertaining and intriguing as what you have got here. Your page is sweet, your graphics are great, and what's more, you use reference that are relevant to what you are talking about. You are certainly one in a million, well done!
Your place is valueble for me. Thanks!…
I foresee some kind of revolution if this keeps up, maybe not necessarily a violent one particular, but some kind of dramatic shift.
WONDERFUL Post.thanks for share..more wait .. ;)…
Greg. How? turn thy back and run?
A splendid blogpost, I just given this onto a workfellow who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact purchased me dinner because I discovered it for him.... smile. So let me rephrase that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thanks for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and enjoy reading more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
No kiddin, you better go ahead and make your Super Bowl futures bets while the odds are really high. The Jets are favored right now.
I want to thank all of you for your prayers and inspiring words. It is a painful loss, but with our faith and the help of all we will continue to honor Jesse.
Way to wreslte,Baby!!!!!!

It's a sad day in the Wrestling Community, but a great day for Heavens Door, for he will be one our Lords Toughest and Brightest Angels...
We attended Jesse Cruz's Memorial at Northview High a touching ceremony of life. Jesse touched all who ever met him and even those who never did.
The Gym was packed with a flowing attendants that jam packed the bleachers and the hundreds of chairs that placed on the floor... The floors were packed, the door ways were jammed and possibly a few hundred more outside waiting to come in... The Police Department did a great job in helping people find a seat, props to them.
A house filled with tears and a few laugh's here and there as the 60 plus guest speakers remembered Jesse... It was my 7 Yr old son Bobby Perez III a California Grapplers first Memorial he attend he really didn't understand a lot but he was proud to be there and proud to see his Team Mate 7 YR old Marc LeGaspe make a closing speech about our Team Mate Jesse Cruz. It ended with all the Wrestlers in a Fraternal huddle that brought down hundreds and hundreds to the center of the gym like ever other Wrestling Match, but this one was for our Brother....
And rememberable moment was seeing of the award presented to the parents of Jesse Cruz was "The Patriot Of Wrestling Medal". It is the highest medal given by Northview High, Wrestlings highest honor

My thoughts and Prayers are with Jesse's Family. Such a tragedy...Jesse will be deeply missed.
I saw this posted on a few wrestling websites and thought I'd share it here:
Our wrestling community has suffered a great lost this weekend with the passing of Jesse Cruz. He was a member of the Rio Hondo wrestling team and was a product of Northview wrestling. He was also a Ca. state placer (5th) in 2008. A memorial fund is currently being set up to assist the Cruz family in their time of need. Any monetary donations or contributions will be greatly appreciated.

This is a sad day in the SGV. I never followed wrestling, but when we lose a young person, it touches the heart. I feel your pain. I know what it is like to you lose a young family memeber. My prayers go out to the family, Friends and High school peers. For those who are in that area and close, help as much as you can. Just know that he is better place now. Its hard, but Celebrate the young mans life and all of his great accomplishments. I commend all SGV Reporters and bloggers for taking the time to leave words of encouragement. Even tho we argue, we are all one big SGV sports family. The Love is here. Stay up!
ARE PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE CRUZ FAMILY AND THE RIO HONDO TEAM, AND ALSO TO THE KID FROM CERRITOS THAT WAS WRESTLING CRUZ, THE WRESTLING CUMMUNITY IS HERE FOR THE CRUZ FAMILY.
My son played youth ball with Jesse, and I remember him and his family very well. Jesse was one of the quietest players on the team but very tenacious on the field. My family and I are saddened by the loss of such a great young man. Big Jesse and Mindy, our prayers go out to you in this terrible time of loss, may the Lord be with you and Jesse.
No words can express my deep sadness and sorrow for the terrible loss of one so young and wonderful. A good friend to my son Matt, he will be truly missed and never forgotten. My prayers, thoughts and love for the Cruz Family are constant.
Sorry for your loss Cruz family.
TDR TV's west Coast correspondent Joey Krebs writes and reports that Saturday September 18th, 20 year-old Rio Hondo Junior College freshman Jesus Cruz collapsed during competition in what was reported to be full cardiac arrest. Cruz was immediately attended to by a Mt. SAC athletic trainer and paramedics. Cruz was given CPR numerous times, but the attempts failed to revive him. He was then transported to the San Dimas Community hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Cruz was competing in a match with his Cerritos College opponent, part of the annual Mt. San Antonio College Invitational Wrestling Duals held in Walnut, California.
Jesse's death shocked the close knit southern California wrestling community and The balance of the Mt. SAC Duals was canceled. Recently voted team captain, Cruz was a second year wrestler for Coach Mike Tellez and the Rio Hondo Roadrunners.
Before joining the Roadrunners, the popular young man enjoyed much success his senior year attending Northview High in Covina, CA.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jesse's family, his team mates, to Coach Mike Tellez and the Rio Hondo College wrestling family.
Our thanks to Joey Krebs for that report.

I want to apologize for my last post, it reminded me of my past so it took me back to a place I hate. This is about a great young man today and not the past, sorry for a terrible loss Cruz family.
Seeing that QB drop dead in Texas after scoring a touchdown was horrible and now another young local man just sucks. I wrestled with a state champ at SH, Aron Milsap who was about to compete to gain a spot on the U.S. team for Olympic games in 88. He was a passenger on a motorcycle that he got thrown from and was killed instantly. My prayers are out to the family.
Although my kid wrestles for Amat, he knows and respects many of the Northview Wrestlers. This is very tragic for the entire Wrestling Community and especially for the family. Our deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences to the Cruz Family.
As his neighbors, we would like to convey our deepest condolences to his family over the loss of a good young man who was always polite and a pleasure to have as our neighbor.
What a tragedy, my deepest sorrows to the Cruz family.
WE ARE MOURNING YOUR LOSS CRUZ FAMILY JESSE WILL BE MISSED, HE WAS LOVED LIKE A BROTHER AND SON TO ALL OF US WE LOVE YOU JESSE
