Nogales football boosters suing district

The Nogales High School football boosters are seeking a $16,000 refund from the Rowland Unified School District for payments they made to help fund the salary of a sports trainer. District spokeswoman Gina Ward said a response to the boosters’ demand made by attorney Domonic Chacon is forthcoming, but Chacon expects the matter could end up in litigation. Principal Nancy Padilla didn’t respond to the initial refund request.
