Mountain View 21, South El Monte 7 — The Vikings are quietly having a pretty good season considering the misfortune they’ve had in recent years.
Azusa 46, Duarte 0 – There was a running clock in the second half as everyone played for the Aztecs.
La Puente 54, Ganesha 20 — Warriors out to prove they’re the second best in Montview after Azusa. Hard to argue with the results.
Gladstone 9, Sierra Vista 7 — Who would of thought it would be this low scoring? Huge win for the Gladiators, who give Dons just their second loss.
Bassett 28, Workman 6 — Don’t know if you would call it an upset, but the lopsided score is a surprise.
South Hills 36, Ayala 33 — Bet the second win of the season never felt so good for the Huskies, who are still in the Sierra League playoff hunt. But they play Chino Hills next, followed by Claremont and Charter Oak. Ouch.
Wilson 37, Nogales 6 — In the battle between Valle Vista newbies, the Wildcats finally secure first league win.
San Dimas 43, Northview 0 — Saints feeling good after Covina’s win over Baldwin Park. Saints still in the thick of the VVL race.

Highlights and interviews from Arroyo, Rosemead
LIVE BLOGGING: Mike “The Cousin” Robledo makes the long trek to L.A. Valley College for the Lancers’ game against Loyola, providing live blogging and a Q&A for those signed on. I will provide updates for Charter Oak-Claremont and Aram will update Rosemead and Arroyo. Those text savvy enough can sign on at whatever game they’re at and provide updates. If you’re home on a wet Friday night, this is the place to be from 7 to 10 p.m.
Yes,
Finally a FRIDAY!!!
ON BLUE!!!
Robledo and Ramirez, I would never ask either one of you: to make a bet at Santa Anita Park for me? Who do you think will win, Jerry Brown or Whitman? What do you think of your son’s girlfriend? How do believe the Universe began? Is there life after death? Are you both experts on High School football teams.
Since you asked, take Quoted in the 4th at Hollywood Park today, it’s a lock…..
I hate to do it but I am a Charter Oak fan tonight……Charter Oak do your job and beat Claremont so our game in a couple of weeks will be intense. We blew it last week, we are looking to rebound these next 2 weeks. Good luck to all teams tonight.

Amat 28
Loyola 14
This one is a lock Fred. You picked the wrong Horse in Loyola. Lancer Fans will be riding you like Seabiscut come Friday nite after the game and into next week. Be prepared Fred you are going to take some hits but in turn your blog gets hits and thats what it is all about right?
Look, Neuheisel is back, there is no telling what impact he makes. This is a dangerous, dangerous game for Amat, because it’s easy to look past, and the Cubs on any given Friday can beat anyone, especially a home game.
Welcome Back Neuheisel! We look past no one! Bring it Cubbies! It should be a good one because we are just as hungry for our First Road Win! Stay behind your Blockers tonight youngman because the Lancer Defense is HUNGRY for some Neuheisel!!! Go Big Blue!
Amat needs to get it done tonight! Covinas getting all the attention on the front page…3 different blogs going about us …
You guys can’t let the spotlight for the SGV switch to us, West Covina, and Bonita….Can you?
I’m picking Amat 28 Loyola 10
FredJ,
With the weather the way it is don’t know if Neuheisel being back will make as big of an impact compared to the game in dry weather. He has to be a little game rusty just from being out of action. Either way it is a must win for AMAT . Look for Moore and maybe Blue to just take the game over.
West Co-who? Bo-what? (just a little jk). Get it while you can that’s what I always say 🙂 Good Luck to all teams tonight, play safe and injury free! Bring home the “W” tonight LANCERS! Go Big Blue!!!!
fred in the 1st a oak tree /hollywood
i like bird crap, he will be on the real. then in the 2nd tomatoe hes a closer he will be ketchuping up late.in your 4th cabbage should win by a head. so theres my picks, and i think claremont and damein will both win tonight,
see ya . go bearcats
Colt74,
That is great that other teams are getting coverage which is the way it should be and I think it would be better for the blog if there was more of it . I mean really how much of AMAT can any one person take in a day . We will gladly share the spotlight with all teams from the SGV it is Fred who always shines the light on us . Thanks for the nod on tonights game and great win by Covina and hope Livingston injury is not too serious and gets back in action soon.
Amat is on Cover It Live!! I’ll be watching!whooooohooooooo!
THIS IS AN EAST COAST SHOUT OUT TO THE BISHOP AMAT LANCERS!
CLUB THE CUBS! HAHA!
GO BIG BLUE!
Freddy,
Even if Neuheisal is back, here are a few reason as to why the lancers will successfully defeat the Loyola Cubs tonight: Jerry N. will definitely be rusty and will take him at least 1 Qtr or 2 to shake it off. Thats enough time for the lancers offense to get something of a cushion.
He’s coming off a concussion, he’s going to be a little hesitant to want to sit in the pocket and willing to take a hit while scanning for his 3rd and check down options. Team that with a bit of uneasiness from the film he has probably seen on the lancer’s defense and how good they are at getting to the quarterback, look for him to throw the ball away quickly, often and try to scramble a lot tonight.
Look for Loyola Head Coach Mike Christiansen to try and run the ball and have a lot of quick passes to take some of the pressure off early off Neuhisel. By running at the Lancer’s you are running right into their strength. I understand Loyola has a very good back, but look for the Lancer D to limit his success. The quick passes maybe a bit effective, but after a series or two, Defensive Coordinator DiFiori will make the necessary adjustments to stop that. If we learned something from Crespi is that the Lancers weaknesses are the intermediate to deep passes, not the quick passes.
Lastly, I think you’re making to big of a deal about 1 player. Yes, Neuheisal is good. Yes he is a difference maker. But he is also one guy, coming off an injury, who hasn’t gone through a full practice since being hurt, all he has been doing is non contact drills. The kid is human. And this a team sport. I just think you’re making too big of a deal about one player. Look for the Lancers to have their first road victory in Serra League play in 4yrs tonight. Maybe not a complete but whooping, but by perhaps 10-14pt margin of victory.
Amat73,
Hey, I’m smart enough to know that if it was not for Amat 50% of the folks reading the TIMES wouldn’t even know about the SGV! ( Honey…where is the San Gabriel Valley?….Don’t you remember dear…that’s where we stopped to get gas on our way o Bettys wine tasting party in Palm Springs…Oh that’s right!)
So sometimes the table scraps ain’t so bad after all!
🙂
I’m sorry guys but I don’t see Amat’s secondary as a weakness anymore. I don’t see the other defenses shutting down our Passing game and our passing game is not great! We are doing well and we are improving every week but so is our defense and from what I have seen we are not that far behind any other defense including a very fast and physical Crespi Defense. The Amat DEFENSE will bring it tonight baby! And when we leave, we leave the Valley with a “W” for the SGV!!! Go Lancers! Go Big Blue!!!
Amat 42
Loyola 13
L.A. Valley forcast-
Sunny and bright, 75 degrees…!
Well now…
Intermediate and deep passes… Got it…! Thank you…I’ll pass it along…
Not in 2010 Either…
The BA defense sacked Crespi QB Kenneth Stenhouse 4 times. Hopefully we will see more of that tonight! GO LANCERS!
Encino Crespi receiver Devin Lucien, who has caught 13 touchdown passes this season, has picked up a scholarship offer from UCLA.
Another Crespi player, defensive lineman Ronald Ussery, has gained an offer from Arizona State.
— Eric Sondheimer (LA TIMES)
This makes BA’s win over Crespi even sweeter and more impressive. Amat will beat Loyola 42-17 tonight.
Good luck to all players tonight, CO will be rocking tonight!
Thats right, Sondheimer of the Times is reporting that Neuheisal will not play
Freddie, doctors say Neuheisel is out for this evening too. Too bad – like to beat the best, but with concussions – better to be safe
*****Fresh off the press******
Football: Neuheisel will miss fourth consecutive game
October 22, 2010 | 2:02 pm
Los Angeles Loyola quarterback Jerry Neuheisel will not play Friday in the Cubs’ game against La Puente Bishop Amat, his fourth consecutive game sidelined because of a concussion suffered against Bellflower St. John Bosco, Coach Mike Christensen said.
— Eric Sondheimer
Look at sgvsbiggestidiot now . Putting all his hopes on clear weather.Yea right it will be bright and sunny and 75 degress at 7:00pm . You are such a jerk. How about the field that has been getting rained on all week . Do you think that field will be dry with all the 75 degree heat you’re banking on . You are drawing at straws now . You should feel right at home in the SFV with all the other putzs and shmucks hanging out there.
Too bad on the news about Neuheisel. Better to safe then sorry. Either way the Lancers still need to stay focused on the task at hand . Joe since their second string QB is down also, who will start for Loyola .
“Joe since their second string QB is down also, who will start for Loyola”
You know…come to think of it Aram picked Loyola AND he’s not been seen for the last couple of days…
ARAM IS THE STARTING QB FOR LOYOLA!!!!
Loyola is preparing for Amat this week by putting their Arizona bound running back in the Wildcat formation. This is what Amat will see tonite. Look out they will run at the Lancers defense tonite.
For a friend… go amat!
Good luck to all the teams of the SGV tonight on a well played and injury free game. To the Men in Blue stay focused and do the work . Keep your eyes on the prize . AMAT WILL SHINE . GO LANCERS.
The BA defense will destroy the Wildcat formation. BA is too fast on defense.
Every team Bishop plays has D-1 players.
AMAT VICTA!!!
AMAT VICTA!!!
AMAT VICTAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Diamond bar just beat Rowland 46 to 33!!!!
fred was last seen with head buired in sand trap at indusrty hills golf crouse,
fred how in the world do you go against the homies……
fred k.c. knocked out walnuts big coleman # 88 put him on sideline then he returned to get his lunch packed for his finnally trip on the field,we killed that team brother,
w/c/ is going to run straight into a bearcat wall. again fred screwed this big game up making w/c/ in front of undefeatted bearcats,,
go ask coleman how hard the bearcats are going to stick the bruins……
there qb was on his ass every other play great job bearcats and we ran the ball down there throats, thats how you win championships asks c.o. adam waema run run run the ball.really good coaching bonita coaches,
go bearcats
Chino Hills had to cringe when it heard that CO-Claremont final. Congrats to the ‘Pack. All they have to do now is not slip and they’re league champs.
Chino Hills-Charter Oak could still be for second …
Also, huge win by Arroyo tonight (where I was). Knights will be favored to win next three games and that could mean 9-1 entering playoffs. Not bad.
Chad Jeffries either broken collar bone or separated shoulder. Pasqy playing the same 18 kids the whole game…time to call it a season… Mike the Clone you have added another after tonight. We had 4 or 5 injuries…Kids don’t hit at at all during practice and that is what happens when you play for real. All positions are set in the summer, no competition during the season so the starters know they are safe and don’t practice hard because they know they won’t be replaced. You created this mess Coach P now you must live with it…I lost all respect with you and your staff, get a D coordinator with some gnads who doesn’t keep playing the “bend but don’t break D”. You play your corners 15 yards off the ball and then wonder why you make average qb’s look great. Glendora deserves better, maybe we won all those Sierra League titles because of the talent not the coaching…hmm does the truth hurt?!!!!!
SEMHS 07
MVHS 21
(FINAL)
If there was ever one constant in SEMHS Varsity “history” (SEMHS started varsity play in September 1994), it was assurance that no matter what, we would always end up winning the game against MVHS. Even last year, “RJ” Hernandez’s first year at the helm, he mustered out a win.
The start of this year, and the way it’s “progressed” since is leaving a different type of memory, personally speaking a real bad taste in the mouth, and that memory being a complete and utter lack of OFFENSE when it’s sorely needed.
Sure we held our ground tonight going into the 4th Quarter at 7-7, but that is where the coaches and the players MENTALLY left the game. Critical 3rd and 4th downs ended up as complete (and in a few cases really bad sportmanship) LETDOWNS.
“RJ” told his team to run double reverse routs like he was giving the team cotton candy. He ran those stupid routs on 4th and 15, and a 4th and 1 (as I immediately recall).
Defense was no better in the 4th, given the fact that all Mountain View’s offense is contained on a formation set up exclusively on run plays, Mountain View only did about 3-5 pass plays ALL GAME. Something should’ve clicked in their minds considering Mountain View’s eager run offense.
As a continuance of the 1st paragraph. for the past 15 years (1994-2009) we’ve been able to contain Mountain View no matter what. This year’s team and (ESPECIALLY) the coaches STINKS!
We fought threw the BS penalties of the first 3 quarters but could not do jack in the 4th. This SEASON could very well be a time where a “NEW” record will replace our streak against Mountain View, and that being 0-5 in Mission Valley League play.
PATHETIC (at the very least). uggghhhhH!
Hey kh the hypocrite, So now you like the BoHi coaches??? That is not what you posted after the Claremont game. You called them out for being to hard on your kid and said they would be sorry. I know all the coaching staff and they don,t need your butt kissing atta boys you phony. You will turn on them in a second when things do not go your way and they know it.
south hills wins a game after a five game losing streak. defense still wasnt there but running game looked powerful with jamel hart rushing for 200+ and 5 TDs
its past 11 almost 12 where are all the other scores fred?
Jalen Moore might have been just the second best RB on the field tonight( Baker from Loyola is a flat out beast!)but he should still be the Tribunes POY……..Jay Anderson would be a WR this year probably
I would have had the scores in sooner except Charter Oak and Claremont combined for over 80 passes on homecoming night … that was long.
Notes on Amat
That young man from Loyola is a monster running back. I don;t care what anybody says, this kid was better than bar was last year. Once that young man got past the original line of scrimmage, the kid was like a cloud of dust. No one could even come close to catching him. What a talent.
Anyway, I for one am just thankful to know that the Lancer’s offense came ready to play some football tonight, because if they would have had an off night, then it would have been an even longer drive home than it already was….
I honestly think it could have been white knuckle time over on our side of the field had our team not been so well prepared.
A couple of side points. Last week someone in here mentioned an obvious observation (does that make sense grammatically ?), in a post. But, because he mad it the way he did, he may have inadvertently drawn some criticism for it. In that post, the bloger said that maybe someone other than Rio should be doing the punting for Amat this year, and even though the idea is a sound one (Ala Danny White of the Cowboys so so many yeas ago) I for one really could not have agreed any more with that bloggers observations.
Anyway, I think that maybe Hags reads the silly posts in here, because sure enough, it was Wallace Gonzalez who was doing all of our kicking tonight.
Now let me just take a moment to say that this young man is amazing kid because not only did he catch one heck if a pass in the end zone for a spectacular Touchdown, but his second punt of the night was a real boomer ! One thing here however, and that is that maybe he might want to work on getting those kicks off a bit quicker. I got a little bit nervous there on that first one…
Now I dont know about all of you, but I for one was really biting my nails down to the meat when Rio took a few shots out there tonight. Especially when he got blind sided as he was attempting to throw a pass in the second half. Kinda made me wonder just how good our second string guy is this year.
BTW, allot of unhappy folks out there with respect to the referees performance tonight. Did anyone think that they were favoring Loyola ?
I only ask because for me, I never, ever, like using the refs as an excuse for not executing plays properly. But, I have to say that there were so many people in the stands who were really getting on those guys as they were walking off of the field that maybe there was something to all of that tonight.
Also, someone in the stands made a comment about how so many of our opponents are going down in these games so far this year. It almost seems as if these kids were not conditioned no ready for the big hits that were bound to be coming their way against this Lancer team. However, what made this game so surprising was that more than a handful of the Loyola kids going down tonight.
Remember, were talking about a Serra league team here…..
Anyway good game tonight and it just seems as if each game is getting closer to something really spectacular. In fact, that last game of the year is going to be much bigger than we can imagine because it seems as if it could be for all the marbles this time around.
BTW, how in the world did the schedule makers know that anyway ? Stay tuned.
Oh, one more thing. We finally got one n the road eh…
Wow what an emotional game tonight, too bad the CO Chargers didn’t come out victorious… I still can’t believe how many Claremont kids where sidelined with injuries throughout the game and they still pulled out the win. I was very surprised that their coaching staff managed the game very well. Hands down from all the QB’s we have played Daniel Kessler has impressed the most, whoever lands this kid will have one calm and collective QB with a rocket for an arm. CO needs to re-group and finish off the next three games off with victories to claim 2nd place in the Sierra to have any shot at making a deep run in the playoffs…
@ jcaz, with all due respect, All those pi calls on amat were legit. Not looking back to make a bona fide effort to reach the pass is a pi.
Take away those pi’s and Loyola only scores 14pts.
Wow!!! Word from Dailybulletin staff, Henry Omamna throws for 364 yards!! against Rowland!
Henry Omana should of been the starting QB at Diamond Bar since the beginning of the year.
Jcaz: rarely do I rant about officiating, but I do believe that one touchdown was due to the refs penalty-happy fourth quarter.
More importantly EVERYONE, it is such a pleasure to see Amat Football that was so clearly defined by Ruiz taking the knee on the 3 with one play left in the game. That is what it is all about, good play with dignity – for BOTH sides.
I’ve watched the games since I was a young neighborhood child and I am proud to have been part of the Amat family these many years, because of moments like tonight.
The Amat score sounds closer then it really was…this game was pretty much over at half time..loyola did pull off a couple of big plays that kept them within 10 to 17 points all night..But i am concerned with Amats defense allowing 31 points & giving up the big plays ..Hats off to the 3rd string QB from loyola..But the key to this victory was moore!! once again he dominated the game & made big runs on pressure situations..MOORE is playing like a man possessed! straight smash mouth football!!..The ground pound strategy that kills the clock & keeps all of the other opponents super stars off the field is what wins games! No one in the Serra League will have a higher “Time of possession”…We just need to tighten up our defense!! Fred was way off on this prediction~ It should have been a no brainer!!~
West Covina Blew out LA same lame scheme 7 OUCH.
WOW!!!!! THE DIAMOND IN THE RUFF. HENRY OMANA #14 Diamond Bar HS. 6’4″ 210 lbs. Where did this kid come from? This kid pick apart Rowland HS. I told you how bad DB and LA coaches are. Heard it through the grape vine LA coaches flat out gave up tonight. DB coaches, you tell me #14 is second string behind #2??? WOW!!! A few games too late bringing out the secret weapon. Where was this kid, in a coma? You mean to tell me #14 was practicing with the team and you coaches didn’t see the talent this kid has. Shame on you DB coaches. Too bad the boy is a senior…
Witness,
I have to agree that maybe a couple of them were legit, but wow, did these guys every go to town with those yellow flags tonight or what ?
Yikes !
Childhood Lancer Fan and now Lancer Mom,
awesome observation. I felt much the same way about that, because it could have been so easy just to have given it to Jalen one more time.
Glad they showed some class out there…
footballer, do some research. 14 has played qb in everygame for DB, and is only a junior. .
I heard a rumor out of Diamond Bar that the starting qb #2 Cameron is the son of last years AD at Diamond Bar High School. Now I understand how that should give you the inside edge but after tonights performance how can Omana #14 not be the starter over their. From what I heard this kid put up 350 passing yards and the most important number they beat Rowland 46-33. This diamond bar team put up 46 points on Rowland with Omana at QB. If this kid isn’t the starter after that performance then these coaches had better start cleaning up their resumes.
wow,
Thanks for the info. A junior! It is hard to believe that this kid #14 is second to #2. Thats all.
Moore put up some crazy numbers again. It’s only a matter of time, if it hasn’t happened already, before D-I colleges start taking
notice of Moore. This is the advantage of playing at this level in high school. Don’t think for a second that the schools looking at
Baker and others that Amat has played, haven’t noticed Moore . . . . I didn’t realize until I watched the game today just how big the
O-line is (even the one “small” guy looks like he could clean your clock) . . . . It’s nice to look in the stands and see Amat
representing as usual . . . . I winced when I saw Rio get popped, sort of makes you wonder if he’s coming back . . . . Okay, I’m not
one to make predictions in this league, but there’s no trap game coming up, Amat is a lock against ND… Fred how about a write-
up on Amat’s coaching staff. There are a lot of interesting tidbits which would make for a good read, anyways you’ve already
pissed everyone off that hates Amat (and yes, even some of the Amat faithful) so one more article won’t hurt . . . . The secondary
got burned a few times, but hey, how many D-I schools have a secondary that’s comprised of 2 sophomores and a junior (you guys
deserve credit). . . .
scattered thoughts from a scattered brain. I got to get to bed.
bohi booster kiss my ass
Wow, look at our fat ass coaches! No wonder we didnt win. A couple extra sit-ups and push-ups might be a good example to our boys.
As promised, Bright and early (4-6 a.m. ONLY folks and everything else is from an imposter), the real COChargerfan is backeverything else is from my poser friend (friends?)Im just giddy with glee!kh, it looks like you got up early this morning.
Ive been reading this thread for amusement because Im not into mythical whose better comparisons and note you Amat honks narcissistic attacks on your new enemy SGV FOOTBALL, but couldn’t overlook commenting upon AMAT 73s hilarious statement that “I also don’t think anyone of us has ever written we are the best of the SGV.” Come on, Amat honks have written this maybe 100 times over the past yearwhat exactly does Amats claim to being FAR, FAR, FAR SUPERIOR to the SGV teams mean to you? And Geez Lance Amat, you need some serious psyche counseling for that paranoia because the whole world is not a hater that is out to get you. Stop looking over your shoulder pal because no one is really following youits all in your head. Do you ever find yourself typing over and over the words All work and no play makes LANCE AMAT a dull boy?
Pay attention YOU NEED IT MORE, Im Amat honks consciousand your conscious never sleeps!!! Seriously, it is obviously not just me standing on the soapbox so it goes both waysif honks like Joe Amat would let it go so would I but they cant so the conscious wakes up everyday around 4:00 am and chimes in so we can all have a nice day. (AMAT 73 and just sayinthats an example of tongue in cheek so dont come back at me with some twisted response)
Im not khs bodyguard, but it was the Amat honks who took potshots at the public education system via comments that khs literacy is a product of it stating that he would be more literate if he went to Amat. I think youre pissed that hes hot on the trail of the imposter and he is about to expose one of you Amat LADIES! kh, my friend, I think youre smarter than any of these HONKS!
Nice to see as I predicted, Jalen Moore still carrying Amat on his shoulders!!! Amat is becoming a one trick pony.
Now for the girls volleyball report Here’s this week’s girls volleyball top 10, where there was no movement among the top eight, with the top five combining for a 10-0 record for the week:
1. Chino Hills (21-3) — The Huskies, who haven’t lost since early October, extended their winning streak to nine matches. They get intra-city rival Ayala today.
2. Bonita (14-3) — The Bearcats are taking care of business in the Hacienda League, sweeping their last four opponents. But it gets tough this week with a home encounter against rival Los Altos on Thursday.
3. St. Lucy’s (11-6) — The Regents appear to be getting their second wind, following up a 3-0 loss to Chino Hills two weeks ago with back-to-back wins, including a four-game win over Ayala.
4. Los Altos (11-3) — The Conquerors are No. 2 in the Hacienda League, but they get a chance to change that on Thursday when they travel to first-place Bonita.
5. San Dimas (15-4) — The Saints are cruising in the Valle Vista League, sweeping two matches last week, and # 1 is hot!
6. Glendora (5-5) — The Tartans, after losing their first three matches in the Baseline League, broke through with a win over Alta Loma. It doesn’t get easier this week, with a match against Los Osos.
7. Ayala (10-7) — The Bulldogs are just a step below Sierra League powers Chino Hills and St. Lucy’s, who beat them in four last week.
8. South Hills (10-7) — The Huskies nearly pulled off the upset of season, taking Chino Hills to five games before losing.
9. La Puente (9-4) — The Warriors, who swept three opponents last week, take over the No. 9 spot after league-rival Gladstone was upset by Azusa.
10. Diamond Bar (14-8) — The Brahmas are back in the top 10 after winning two of their last three matches.
See you all tomorrow morning.
Henry Omana should be the starting QB at DB, the kid knows the position in and out and has been playing it for years, has a way better arm. I wonder why the former AD made sure his older son be on the Brahma coaching staff before he left..get some cajones Martin.
GHS is in the weeds after losing our first two league games. All hopes for the playoffs are dead as we will be lucky to beat Alta Loma and will NOT beat anyone else.
Its not he kids fault, they play hard and see the issues its the coaches who either are too stupid or too afraid to make adjustments during the game.
Coach P do us alum all a favor and QUIT. Please take Lawrence and Strike with you. Your henchmen will be of no use when we get a real coach.
Pucci over Kyle? WTF ?
I have it on good authority that if Zavala is let go or resigns at seasons end that former Wildcat great Ryan Merrill has the job if he wants it. Word is also that he would be interested!
Pendleton throws for 240 yds, 5 TDs and an INT. Not needing to run people over but the Bearcats are averaging 166.4 yds per game on the ground. Balanced offense and great defense has kept the Bearcats grounded and ready to play every week.
@ WesCo this next week!
To Aram and all those others who did not give Claremont a chance, well they are for real. Kessler is a top notch QB heading to D-I and playing on Saturdays. Dockery is proving himself as a top receiver and standout player in a small package.
JJ
This week the Wilson coaches gave reservations about our QB’s throwing 30-35 times a game – but give them all credit – that’s what they did – a combined 19/32 396 yards 1 INT and 3 TD’s
— and give #7 Schreimann high fives for that drive we were hoping to see since summer time – a 7 play hurry offense drive 5/6 passing with 67 passing yards with a passing TD and all in less than 2 minutes of clock time – that was our best drive of the season
so Cat Alum hold your “hunches” for a while
The little publicized aspect of football is special teams. Many think these teams are made up of 2nd stringers and sons of boosters so as to earn their letter and thus buy a jacket. The Bonita Hi’s special teams have had a vital impact in every win. From blocking the fg attempt against Santa Fe To preserve the win to at least 3 more last night and successful onsides kicks. Their punting game and kicking game has been a big surprize. That was supposed to be a weak spot. Next week against W.C. these teams will probably decide who will be the winner. Looking forward to a good, hard hitting, clean game.
Listened to Amat game on ibn sports. It was very clear that who ever was announcing the game had to be from Loyola. Very annoying to watch the game and have this guy cheering for Loyola. Maybe ibn sports should get someone to announce game that has no ties to either school. This guy was a joke.
GO BIG BLUE
Say what you like about the way kh hashes his letters because, well, if he doesn’t care, why should I?
His observations on the game, on the other hand, are usually spot on. True again was his recent point about K.C. Being the guy who ignites the Bonita defense. He are.
Make no mistake about it either, the Bearcat success story this year is about the D and the special teams. And the guy who is in the middle of all of that is K.C. Huth; #6 with his emotions right there on his sleeve for the world to see. If you ever lose track of Huth during a game just look around until you find the kid who is vibrating. That’s K.C.
The last year a BoHi team actually won a championship was in 1999; different coach, Larry Hatley, and a way different offense, but the defense did have another ferocious hitter in the middle, DeAndre Belin. Tank’s offensive numbers are what he is remembered for, but what will always stick with me was DeAndre’s manchild MLB play as a soph in 1998. When he hit you, you stayed hit. Lots of K.C. in that.
Speaking of defensive studs, did anyone else notice DE Daniel Harriman run down Mustang hoss Aubrey Coleman from BEHIND last night? Across the field and 30 yards down the sideline. (Memo to Bob Jastrab: DO NOT let this guy fall off your to do list, he is legit.)
For those of you with the Bearcat Game Home Edition: Did WR/CB Matt Gelalich have more positive yards last night receiving passes, intercepting passes, or running back kicks? The winning submission gets a coupon good for a kosher BLT at Legends.
Speaking of legit, that excessive celebration call on Grant Wharton’s TD was gay, pardon the political incorrectness. Since when is tossing the ball in the air next to the Back Judge a celebration? Second worst crew I’ve seen work this year. (Memo to you officials out there: Trying to level the field in a blowout only makes the losing team look worse and your crew like losers. To quote Denzel, just let the boys play).
every week someone talks about how their kid tackled #88 from walnut. same thing. “did you see my boy tackle 88. yea he took a 10 yard ride, but he got him down. i think the president is going to fly in and shake my hand. blah blah blah loser loser loser”. the reason you had a chance to catch him from behind is because he ran through the defense. no no kh. kc did nothing. 88 has been injured for the past two weeks. but you are correct in suggesting kc is the best player on that team. bonita does nothing without kc.
Congrats to Claremont,
You have defeated your chief rivals for league championship. The mark of a good team is the ability to take advantage of the breaks given to them and a bit of luck. You have had both. Finish strong and come play-off time if the brackets work out right, you may get a rematch with Chino Hills and be prepared for a slug-fest.
Dear Mike the Clone,
I want to apologize to you, you ego maniac jerk. I used to despise you but now I have seen the light after our debacle last night. Our coach is just an average coach who has been getting average results the last three years that I have been involved with Glendora High School and following GHS football long before that.
I would come to the blog and read all the name calling and stupid comments about surviving this and surviving that.Well as you can see none of those people are here to say you were wrong and only because they can’t. Can they honesty come on here and justify what they are seeing in the jump in competition in the Baseline? No they can’t and average play and lack of adjustments in the Baseline isn’t good enough.
You were correct we are what we are at Glendora and people seem to be satisfied with that, although I see some disgruntled junior Clones airing their unhappiness here in the blog.I’m not sure if I’m on Mike the Clone bandwagon just yet although it may sound like it.I would never call for Mark’s firing he is good for the program and a solid teacher but as you have said he is what he is on the field and he has taking us to about as far as he can with what he knows.
Looking back and seeing what you had said in the past sure is standing out like a big fat sore thumb right now and you sure are looking like a fortune teller. Please don’t let this post go to your inflated ego, it’s just some of your critics like me are eating a little crow over your early observations of GHS football and I’m man enough to admit that I could have been wrong about you all along and as crazy as it may sound you could have been right all along.
What is funny is that Damien had the opportunity to get Monger and Merandi, but chose the bargain discount price with GG. Well, you get what you pay for! GG can only win with D-1 talent and that’s easy, any reasonably competent coach can do that. Why, Frank might even be able to win some games, since he is a football expert. He is, just ask him! Of course, he and GG would need to be separated by a total buttock/lipectomy.
At Glendora, it’s not about talent, it’s about demographics. If you don’t fit the demographics, you don’t see much of the field even if you are a superior athlete.
Look at the demographics of the coaching staff…see what I mean.
It’s no wonder guys like Wallace G. don’t “fit in”.
It’s not wonder D. Hicks isn’t getting many touches even though he is by far one of the best athletes on the team.
It’s no wonder Pucci came in instead of the other QB when Chad went down.
Know your demographics folks!
Pucci is there for one reason and one reason only……DADDY!
The guy is everywhere On campus, practice, locker room. I feel sorry for the son.
Zavala and Williams proved to everyone that #12 is their qb. Now prove to everyone that you know what you are doing and stick with #12. If you end up putting your tail between your legs and bring #7 in next week youre going to prove your critics right. Prove to everyone Zavala youre not another Hoyd stick with #12 good or bad.
If Henry Omana is a chip of the old block he’s going to be a great quarteback, his dad, Henry Sr. was a hell of a quarteback at El Monte High in the early eighties.
The Pro Loyola Refs were clearly biased and if you watched the tape closely, they will throw a questionable penalty everytime Amat gains momentum, my guess is to avoid an embarrassing blow out for Loyola. Amat clearly dominated the game from the onset and if it weren’t for all the flagrant flagging by those penalty happy refs, the score would have been 48-14. But one thing I will give credit is that beast #23 Jared Baker, this kid is the real deal.
Next up Notre Dame.
@ Glendora back up is there for a reason
If Pucci is our only back up then we are in real trouble he is way to small.Funny comment about Dad that’s the running joke at the booster club.
If anyone recalls my posts from the previous 2 weeks, this was a long time coming for young Omana. However I choose to not bag on another kid let the play speak for itself.
Point is that both QB’s have been up and down, however anyone with eyes can see that Omana has unreal talent, an accurate arm that can toss a football 60 yards flat footed, but is not as fast as the other qb. Both deserved a chance to compete during the early season with the winner to be named the starter.
It appears the deck was stacked against Omana, who has grown up in the Diamond Bar youth leagues since 8 yrs old. Not even sure where the other qb lives but I do not think hes a local. Never saw them at pop warner or jaa.
As I mentioned before it is not about winning at DBHS any longer. The admin only cares about the band, calculus, great halftime shows, bingo, and keeping the complaining parents happy. If its about winning and making the playoffs, which Dbar still has a chance, then anyone with any football knowledge would play the junior qb NOW. Give him the majority of snaps in practice so he can be sharp and then lets see what happens. The scary thing is Dbar has outstanding receivers with great hands. Perfect for Omana.
The truth out.
GHS fans spent all summer telling us how good your team was. The line was great, receivers were on track and you have the best QB in the valley.
You get a reality check (BASELINE) and it’s everyone else fault except for your little Johhnys. Keep blowing smoke up your kids but, blame the coaches and all will be well.
Here is another reality check….Coach P and staff are good coaches its your kids they just aren’t GOOD enough! they dont work hard enough to be good because you spend to much time telling them how goood they already are.
And to make yourselves feel better go ahead and attack the new freshman QB….so typical.
Anyone else think that Omana should start getting recruited now because of this? He’s always had the talent, and it’s finally showing on Fridays.
West Covina VS Bonita. OH Baby! Would love to see that game! Should be game of the week/Coveritlive.
Early pick… WesCo 28 Bonita 17
@cochargerfan,what do you mean Amat is becoming a one trickpony.2 touchdowns where pass plays,it is called good coaching,if they cant stop the run what do you do,run more.they are winning because they are playing as a team, individuals do not win games.
Hey football fan, Pee Wee Herman once threw for 300 yds. Maybe he should be recuited too. Gimme a break Dad.
OK really mr ignorant Glendora Demographics, let see D. Holmes, Charles Johnson, D. Hicks to name just a few!
GHS supportters are a joke, wow you are a bitter, sorry there is great talent out there not being utilised and the coaches must be putting your son on some pedal stool he probably does not deserve.
GHS coaches suck and everyone knows it, maybe at one time they were good but they have no business being in this league, GHS needs all new coaches, the boys have the ability to do fine in this league with their talent and hard work but not with these coaches and the plays they call! Trust me these athletes are just as frustrated with the coaching most have played football all their life and know what real training is.
@ GHS supportters are a joke said.
Coach P did a good job keeping GHS in the hunt in the Sierra league. We do not have enough coaches or coaching talent to go to the next level, as you can see by our performance thus far in league.
Our varsity coaches don’t work the kids hard enough at practice. Our Freshmen coaches work those kids far harder than varsity. When they had a bye week they didn’t practice at least 2 days that week and when they did they they didn’t wear pad 2 of those days, basically walk-throughs. They conditioned more this year than last but still not nearly enough.
The coaches do play favorites and do not allow for competitions for playing time. Will either Kyle get a shot to compete to replace Chad? we will see
The team is also lacking in leadership both on and off the field from the players, someone needs to step up
The Amat JV Team had the same issues with the refs at Loyola…But still should have won
Ro – don’t think that was real COCF. Time period is right – style is all wrong
yeah yeah yeah amat fans good game but tell me you guys heard about what them alemany warriors did to crespi man o man vernon adams might be the best qb in the land oh yeah and he’s on the best team in the land. truthfully alemany should win state this year i dont see anyone beaten them especially not bishop amat, but amat i know that your a good team to but being a good team is not enough to beat alemany…good luck amat on the rest of the season i hope you guys stay unbeaten so in the finale alemany would have some motivation besides the revenge factor…..
@Ro,
I think Amat has a great team this year, imagine if you still had Jay Anderson in your backfield?
Jalen Moore is the real deal on your squad this year. Your passing game reminds me of the old Dan Fouts era, short passes for the most part with a good run on the end of it. How long were you two passing touchdowns last night? Thats what I thought! Im not sayin Rio and Wallace are crap; they just dont stand out like Moore.
Im starting to re-think Trib. Player of the year; Im hearing great things about the Bohi defense, impartially Kc Huth. I think you now have to at least throw him into the conversation. It sounds like hes a fearless game changer. Bohi has had a rep. for being a soft team; this kid appears to have changed their M.O. I still believe Bonita beats Amat heads up by 14 pts.
It looks like they took down the pictures of our coaching staff, thanks Fred.
LOL!
Only a Charger fan would say Bonita would beat Amat. Both Charter Oak and Bonita have never seen a good Pac-5 program so it makes sense that these two schools would be in bed together! lmao!
Is the wedding going to be in the Fishbowl?
OF COURSE IT IS! hahaha!

QB Cameron did not grow up in Diamond Bar and came with his dad AD JT Cameron from the OC where his dad was at Fairmont Prep. JT in now the AD at Santiago in Corona and let his 2 sons finish at Diamond Bar.
I would start Henry Omana at qb since he is a junior and could use more game experience for next year. Hopefully he stays healthy as he will be one of the 2 starting pitchers along with Kenny Mathews.
@ Ghs Fan
Im pretty sure that the rules are that in your bye week you’re are NOT allowed to be fully padded up at practice and i think theres a limit to how many practices you can have too. just sayin
I always knew CO fans were delusional about where there players came from, about what city they live in, now I know they are delusional about there football picks. Once again there is no team in this valley beating Amat. Actually you know what I am going to assume you were joking!
This is a BEARCAT dream team. sorry bishop nation, u wuld b on the losing side of a BEARCAT bishop game this yr., deal with it.
wow,
I did some research on #14 OMANA as far as playing time. You said he has played in every game. Looked it up and ran into a former DB dad now at Walnut. #14 has had very little playing time. Omana has 7 td passes and 3 td’s on the run in league play. #2 has ZERO td passing, 1 td on the ground. #14 6’4″ 200 lbs. jr. has a canon, is mobile and is a physical player. I think someone should be punished for this one. A second stringer just doesn’t come out and throw for 364 yards throws 4 td’s and runs for 2 td’s. Great cover up coach with the “HOT HAND” comment. What a joke!

The Bearcat dreamteam that almost lost to Sante Fe? Sante Fe got schooled by lowly Esperanza 21-7.Claremont may have caught Chino Hills on an off night but Claremont was also almost beat by Rowland. Rowland! lol Take this along with Bonita’s coaching staff having 0% experience playing any high state ranked team…and ummmmm. Dreamteam? Perhaps for a school whose biggest game in the past 20 years probably had the word “smudgepot” in it. lol

all came thru big.why cant our ranking guys figure these things out.hopefully there paying attention next friday when we shut down w/c/ little running game,we open up with the run last night, the only reason we didnt run against l.a, was to give garrett some more game speed, now he has 11 td,2 intro.
w/c/ without us your nothing this year, the highlights are on the bearcats story, you will play a small part in our movie, like 7 other who sunk like the crap when we flush the bruins down the toilet.
the big picture is all in our hands,we will end up # 1 after amat plays last game of season.
lifes getting better for the huths in l/v/ town.
the way i raised kc is really starting to pay off,hes taking leadership by exsample ,not by his mouth.as i walked out from the grand stands,my boy made me fill like a pro ball player again, really people were coming up saying really nice things, thanks lord, romans 5 :1-6

Henry Omana should be the starting QB at DB, the kid knows the position in and out and has been playing it for years, has a way better arm. I wonder why the former AD made sure his older son be on the Brahma coaching staff before he left..get some cajones Martin.
JT left before his son even got the job. he found out like mid year in the 08-09 year he was going to Corona school. and his son is the video guy? why the heck does that matter? he was a former QB who loves his high school.
look Omana Played a great game and i cant wait to see him on the field this year and next year too.
YOU ARE THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO GROW A PAIR AND GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!

Dude…I don’t know what you’re reading but Claremont has only lost one game and that was the 22 points drubbing that Bonita gave them. They beat Rowland 24-21 in week three.
Ok… So I’ve covered DB for three games this year.. Against Nogales, Walnut and Rowland last night..
Basifcally, I watched in the first game and a few things were clear between the two quarterbacks..
Andrew Cameron was comfortable in his role and led the offense efficiently.. He had a strong grasp on the offense.. I believe when Omana came in, the team actually struggled to get plays called and running plays correctly..
Against Walnut, they tried to get Omana involved.. He actually ended up throwing an interception in DB territory to give Walnut the ball back for an easy score.. It was a critical mistake..
Last night against Walnut.. Cameron came in and performed fairly well.. Omana came in and did ok at first.. The last drive of the half was really where he picked it up, mainly with his feet and punched it in the Endzone to give DB some hope.. On the night, Rowland should have had four interceptions at least.. Many opportunities to intercept the ball going right through the defenders’ hands.. In all though, Omana played brilliantly in the 2nd half.. When he made a mistake, Rowland did not capitalize.. Each time Omana would come back and make a terrific play.. He was incredible in the second half and really began to look comfortable and confident..
The DB coaches have done a good job of managing the situation.. Both quarterbacks are quality players.. Cameron being a Senior who played last year, very well I might add, deserved his opportunity.. Omana came in as a transfer and still looks like he is adjusting at the QB position and making plays.. He really did just get a “hot hand” last night and made some tremendous plays.. All when they needed them most..
I want to make it clear to all.. From what I’ve seen, DB has made the right choice.. Cameron gave them the best chance to win early on.. Omana really came on strong form the final drive of the first half to the second half.. He turned in one of the best QB performances you may ever see at the HS level.. I came away most impressed! And it was a hardfought, well deserved win.. Give DB credit for hanging in there and honestly making the plays.. Rowland did not self implode.. DB took advantage and the momentum swings were overwhelming.. It honestly could have happened to a Glendora, a CO, a West Covina(as we saw with Covina)…

Some one defend #14! and give him THE GAME BALL. Stats speak for themselves. DB has won their first league game. DB coaches finally made an adjustment. They put in the better player at the position maybe a bit too late. Unlike LA should have done weeks ago. I was sitting on Rowlands side. From what I saw the kid got rolling and never look back. #2 has 1 td ON THE RUN, a BIG 0 passing td’s in league. #14 has 7 TD’s in the air and 3TD’s on the ground. DB went down 14-3 in the first. #2 threw an INT for a TD. Then #14 came in. Done deal! Let the kid play. #14 has a new fan. The final score was 46-33 hmmm Something must be wrong here.
I love this family – my son played with Henry in baseball in Cooperstown with the Diamond Bar Destroyers, because of Henry and others they won the championship! Henry is a go to guy with a great arm. I wish them all the best! ~ He is a wonderful athlete to watch, because he always performs at HIS best.
Well glendora has a god offense. But NO DEFENSE.. SoRrY CoAcH p … no more Chad Young or Michael Gonzales as your Middle Line Backer. True leaders both all CIF and Defensive MVP of the league All Area… SOrry But Your Backers SUCK!!
What a game Friday night against Rowland. Ball is the real deal and #12 is no slouch for the Raiders. For the first time all year DBar played a team that has no size advantage and is forced to play a lot of guys both ways. Instead of getting beat up and run down in the second half DBar reversed the trend. The critical time was mid 3rd quarter when the DBar coaches (!!!!!!) made an adjustment and went to the hurry up offense. On many plays the Raider linemen didn’t even get down in a stance they were breathing so hard. OK, Omana. Nicesest kid from the best family you will ever meet. Played JAA football at DBar/Walnut, played DBar Little league, went to Mater Dei his freshman year and transferred to DBar his soph year. This year has been an up and down season for Henry. The coaches start Cameron and Omana comes in for five to six series a game. Unfortunately most of the time the coaches forget about his bes attribute, being very accurrate 30-60 yards downfield and have him run two times up the middle and throw the screen pass. Henry is not a running quarterback. It worked agains Rowland because they are not any bigger than us. Where he was brilliant was his arm and his vision. Yes a couple of passes could have been picked off but they weren’t. He is also a tough son-of-a-gun. The question now is what do the DBar coaches do. The right thing is to start Henry and let him take over this team. His size, strength and arm just give him the advantages over Cameron. Get Andrew some snaps as well but the rolls need to be reversed. Whatch out for DBar baseball (yes Shively sucks as a coach) with Kenny Mathews the number one pitcher in the Valley and Henry Omana moving up to the four or five spot. If DBar can hit at all they will be a force.
as anyone herd from fred after his predictions last week,
amat will lose,,,,, fredfredfred,
claremont will lose,,,,,, fredfredfred
fred those are 2 teams in your top five brother.
do yourself a big over steveie this week.
bonita over w/c/ am putting spread at bonita -8
b=bar bonita going to crush you guys again this up coming baseball season, your one man army wont hold down the bonita march to glory my friend.

thanks fred didnt think you ever listened to me,your going to get big mac,,,6-7 and still growing, area code monster bonita is creating.
we will do the monster mash,we will be the hit of the land, will do the mash, the monster masd.
sunday morning with no baseball, what the hells a guys suppose to do..first in a long time no baseball.k.c. mlb compton baseball fields are under water,
pasadena redbirds game is off to,something going on at rose bowl i think its the st jude childreds weekend,i mass baseball for the st judes, poor childred, iam just going to thank god and hang with son today, maybe take in jask-ass movie,
anybody want to work kids out today, lets go to bohi and take b-p or throws some pull-pins let me know
DBlover,
You said Henry in the # 4 or 5 slot in baseball?? Who would be 2 and 3?? I dont remember seeing anybody that would be that high in the rotation!
We know others have received invitations to represent CA at the NUC All American competition in South Carolina
– JR Nelson will get there on Christmas Day, I’ve got him covered for the competition Dec 27-31 but we are looking for 2 days of “hang out” buddies for that Sat & SUN
if anyone else is going we would surely like to know somehow
I know you guys from Diamond Bar don’t want to talk about this but don’t forgot Omana took his Hacienda La Puente Wildcats Jr. Midget team to the National Championships in Florida. Only a couple quarterbacks in the SGV can say that (both from HLP). The odd of making to the National Championships are one in every ten thousand teams make it to the National Championships.
Who cares about what one does on a JAA Jr. midget team. It is irelevent to what translates in the jumior and senior year of high school.
whoa now i know people on this blog is seriously stupid when it comes to talking about sports. lets get real bishop amat will DESTROY bonita the game wouldnt even be close…ok maybe it’ll be kind of close but amat would definitely win by at-least 3 touchdowns. truthfully i dont remember bonita ever being a dominate team. now im not an amat fan but seriously amat is a good team in one of the toughest leagues and there playing level is at an all tme high right now bonita would stand a chance. im thinking those bonita fans are suggesting that bonita would beat amat backup team yeah that sound more sane…lol… oh yeah amat fans the finale will be a blowout GO ALEMANY……
I wish we all had Bonita’s schedule.
EZE,
You have to give Bonita credit. They beat powerhouse SANTE FE by 1 point. They also got behind in the LOS ALTOS game early but fought back to beat them by 27. Give credit where credit is due.
The Glendora coaching have the cleanest carpets in town!!!
The Glendora coaching staff have the cleanest carpets in town!!!!
I know several B Amat players were invited to the national combines and competitions – try to get ahold of Adam Sanchez (maybe through the coaches)and see if he is going
I know everyone thought that the timing (Christmas Week)sucked at least for the west coast players – which means an unfair advantage if they go up against the Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, etc. players in the 7 on 7’s – they are sure to have more top players represented than the west regional
Henry also played on the walnut pony bronco allstar team that lost in the world series final and went 25-2. many great players where on that team that will make an impact at there highschools this year.diamond bar ,walnut, nogales and diamond ranch players
Taylor Lagace may be going to Charleston as well from Arcadia HS
ummm EZE the bearcats schedule strength is one of the toughest in the area
its just that they have the easier league opponents for the first half of league and the tougher ones for the second half.
The Bearcats have dominated all 3 of there league opponents
and as far as nonleague bonita scheduled up if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know that the teams they played were highly ranked exception for baldwin park
San Dimas -41-20 Mid valley division CIF champions and rivalry game
Claremont 42-20 Ranked Number 4 in the valley and have gone to beat chino hills and charter oak
Santa Fe – 13-12 Ranked #1 in the SOutheast Southern Section CIF polls
Baldwin Park 29-0 Played 4 tough non league opponents and beat san dimas
Diamond bar 54-19 Diamond bar was 4-1 at the time
Los Altos 37-10 Not much to say about this one
Walnut 44-14 Dangerous team who’s back was to the wall and
desperately needed a win to stay in the playoff picture
The rest of their schedule is Number one ranked West covina
Rowland
and #5 DIamond Ranch
so you should pay attention to the teams they’ve played and they not to mention the bearcats average 43 points a game at home and about 35 points a game away an there defense has only allowed 95 points all year about half than west covina not to mention half of bonitas points allowed came from second string defense
Theres also a reason there ranked #25 in the southland state polls is because of there schedule strength and the amount of points they have been able to put up and allow
so get your facts right before criticizing a team for playing a weak schedule they have no control over playing teams like los altos diamond bar and walnut their in the league
OMANA PLAYED NUMEROUS SPORTS WITH MY KID AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PERFECT TEAMMATE. HIS PARENTS, LITTLE BROTHERS AND THE ENTIRE FAMILY HAVE ALWAYS SUPPORTED HIM AND THE TEAM HE HAS PLAYED ON. LETS MAKE A DEAL!!! DR WILL TAKE OMANA TODAY AND WOULD BE READY TO PLAY FRIDAY NIGHT AGAINST LOS ALTOS. WITH HIS SKILLS AT QB AND OUR RUNNING BACKS WE WOULD PUT UP RECORD BREAKING NUMBERS. DR COACHES AND PARENTS KNOW WHAT OMANA CAN DO. ITS JUST TO BAD DB THINKS THEY OWE THEIR FORMER AD SOMETHING. DB COACHES AND STAFF DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR THE TEAM AND PLAY THE SECOND STRING QB. YOU MAY HAVE A SLIGHT CHANCE TO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS COACH. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THAT HAPEND COACH. OMANA HAS THROWN FOR MORE THAN 700 YARDS WITH 10 TOUCHDOWNS. 7 PASSING AND THREE ON THE GROUND IN LEAGUE. THOSE NUMBERS HAVE BEEN PUT UP PLAYING JUST A LITTLE OVER 5 QUARTERS. CAMERON HAS PLAYED THE MAJORITY OF ALL PRE SEASON AND LEAGUE GAMES ALL LEAGUE GAMES HAVE ENDED WITH A LOSS. CAMERON HAS 0 ZERO PASSING TOUCHDOWNS ONLY 1 TD ON THE GROUND IN LEAGUE. OMANA IS A STUD, LET HIM LOOSE SO HE CAN SAVE YOUR SEASON. IT WASN’T LUCK COACH THAT WHAT YOU CALL SKILLS. GREAT GAME OMANA IT WASN’T LUCK I’VE SEEN YOU PLAY AND I KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO. 6’4″ 210 LBS. LET HIM LOOSE! LOOSER
I’m with u EZE, this Bearcat team is the best thing since sliced bread.
Anyone in our way better be worried, very worried.
Don’t worry bishop, ur not on our schedule.
SGV ballers every varsity team has improved weekly except Los Altos. Wake up parents petition to dismiss immediately.
EZE bearcat schedule – as of today (before the rest of their EZ league schedule they have a Maxpreps SOS of 12.
Here’s some others from around the SGV:
Rowland 12
WC 15.8
CO 18.9
Baldwin Park 20
Glendora 20.3
Diamond Ranch 21.2
Walnut 23.5
Damien 24.4
Claremont 25
SouthHills 25.2
Amat 25.8
Now – what were you saying?
of course Bonita is better than Azusa – who has a SOS of -9.3 (yes – that was NEGATIVE 9.3)

aka Mr. Martinez aka Geo’s dad. Why do you still care about a school that your son is no longer going to? Move on and let us worry about what is going on at Los Altos.
Footballer
This is standard performance for the Head coach at LA the best player the team had #2 ran as fast as he can from the school.
Heard it thru the grapevine LA coaches flat out gave up tonight. I think b has a valid point.get rid of them now. Looks as if it would be best they have nothing to lose.
All LA fans and critics and armchair QB’s….be real, Los Altos does not have any talent to compete in the hacienda, key word there is to COMPETE in the hacienda, now if they were in the Valle Vista then yes, they could compete a lil better, but not where they currently are, no way…not enough horses, thats plain and simple, anyone that says otherwise has their head in the clouds and is living in the past. You all think that Arrellanes didnt know what he was getting himself into, this was a program that won what, 3-5 games the previous 2 years before he got there, he knew and he still took the job that no one wanted. Nobody wanted to coach YOU los altos, no one, like any of you bloggers here would have stepped up to the plate and done any better, what a joke. And dont give me this godinez arguement, like we always get in here from time to time, nobody in or around the program, alumni and fans, other than maybe 2 people want that guy running the program. Los altos, face the facts, you had some decent coaches last year and you rolled the dice that you could do better, and you came up losers. That simple………scenario…3-5 years, wilson will be playing in the montview and los altos will be in the valle vista…how times have changed.
We just beat Nogales and our coaches act like we just won league, Nogales. We have gotten blown out against every quality team we have played in the Zavala era. Our coaching staff feels they are doing a great based on the Hoyd standard. We lost to Northview last week 27-34. San Dimas just beat them 43-0, it doesn’t look good.
Hoyd was involved with this program for one year not decades. The year before Hoyd this program lost in the semi’s D7. Zavala you now in D10, this program with the talent it currently has should at least compete in D10. You say you are building a program, then prove it.
Wilson,
Error in that last comment, the year before Hoyd we lost in the second round. I believe two or three years before that we lost in the semi’s to OLu.
I guess Claremont must have brought the same crew of ref’s to the Charter Oak game? Or could it be that they just might be a pretty good football team.
Hey, this post showed up 100 times in my feedburner reader. Could it be an error on my end or is it happening to anyone else?
Very funny Dan..
Ch Hills Fan u care to comment? Claremont. please take it easy on our Bulldogs this week. Two games into league and our season is already over. Really sucks. (Pretty hard to see us sweeping Claremont, Damien, then Chino Hills.) There is no prize for humiliating us with another one of those 54-7 blow outs. Our kids will be back next year stronger than ever and ready to go for it.
BA has beat Compton Dominguez, Crespi, and Loyola. I dont think BA is too concerned about Bonita lol
AHSFB fan,
Hats off to Claremont….I did not think they could beat Charter Oak without #2….that kid was great. My son was crushed…knowing they let that Claremont game slip away.I hope Claremont wins the rest of their games and gives the Sierra League credibility for the playoffs. I saw the Ayala vs. So. Hills game……Ayala had a chance with a last second FG. I think you guys can beat Damien, They were not very athletic. We are battling for 2nd place and a good draw in the playoffs. I have heard that Coach Inglima is on the hotseat…have you heard anything? We can’t wait to play you guys…..rivalry games are always fun and our games are usually very competitive. Good luck this week.

FRED,
I was at the donut shop having my Monday morning coffee with the grumpy old men bunch. We get together on monday mornings and shoot the shoot. I brought up the Omana kid from DBHS. I have a bet with this old fart from Rowland. it’s only for a buck. Can you display the stats between #2 and #14 league play stats. I tried looking up the stats on Max preps but have not been updated. Thank you FRED enjoy your nuts on the blogs. I played football with a leather helmet when football was football.
CH Husky fan:
Now that our season is essentially over I guess we can be civil now. I fear what Claremont is gonna do to our guys with or without a #2. I have not seen Claremont play yet, but Charter Oak could have put 100 on us and they lost to Claremont. Things are gonna get ugly unless Claremont takes it easy on us. Miracles happen and my guess is your praying for one in our game against Claremont. If my calculations are correct, Chino Hills finishes 3rd in Sierra and plays Corona Cent. in round 1. If you saw the So. Hills game you saw that we almost overcame some crappy officiating too. One ridiculous PI and an obvious SH fumble lost that was given back to them. That’s football we still had a chance to win and didn’t. I agree with you about Damien. I think we will match up okay with them. Maybe we can salvage a league win there. As for our game with C.H. this year. It has been a great rivalry. This year I fear the blowout as we shouldn’t match up with the CH talent. Concerning Coach Inglima. He has supposedly been in the hot seat every year. Who cares. He is a good coach and the kids play for him. His character is always being assasinated. Maybe it’s deserved; maybe not. I’m not close enough and don’t have any details to be the judge that’s what school administrators are for. Good Luck next game.
AHSFB Fan,
We should take 2nd. I think we will beat Charter oak. Even if we don’t, we will not get Corona centennial…….that will be the 3rd place team in the citrus belt league. REV will win that league and we beat them. We are pulling for you to beat Claremont. They are good but not unbeatable. We should have beaten them….we had a huge let down after halftime…the kids thought the game was over….Claremont continued playing and took the momentum and the game from us. I have no doubt that if we played them 10 times…we’d beat them 7. Their QB is solid and their receivers catch the ball….They are suspect on D and can give up points. Good luck this week.
How in the heck can you say South Hills in still in the hunt for a Sierra league playoff berth. Out if the teams they have left to play there is a better chance of hell freezing then they do beating ant one of those teams. They were basically given a gift in the win over Ayala and they scored 33 points and now they face the tougher teams of the league . They couldn’t even beat Damien who put up 35 points against them and that pretty much says it all.
You tartan fans who are detroying The Pucci’s on here are exactly what is wrong with your demographic!!! You would be all bitchy if some punkass like you were to assault your mama’s boy the way you have assaulted Pucci!!! Way to go tough guy!!! No wonder Damien is getting some of your best talent, you guys all fight with eachother over spoiled bs!!! Pucci might clean some carpets but I will come over & clean some clocks!!! Talk crap on Gager again, but make sure we know who you are punk!!! Cuz Kevin Pucci has friends that have always ate up Glendora Boys like YOU!!!
