Just like the top seeded LB Poly a couple of years ago playing the At-Large bid Amat. No blow out there. Mission Viejo / Servite may not even make it to the finals, maybe one of them may but not both. There are no easy games in a pac 5 tournament and everybody is 0-0 as of right now. Cal Preps has Crespi over Los Alamitos @ Los Alamitos..I beg to differ, Los Alamitos wins tonite.

San Dimas OWNES the trenches. That is the difference this year. They just figured it out.

Remember people, CIF-SS brackets are not a true seeded tournament of 1 vs. 16 and so on. They seed the top four, place them in the bracket and use a formula based on how it ranks each league in each division to fill out the rest of the bracket, so if the seeds and home teams win in the first round, it's not necessarily a No. 4 for 5 matchup in the second, which is the reason for the alternating home games.

Fine, San Dimas beat themselves against Covina the same way Monrovia beat themselves against San Dimas ... I call it a push.

I dont know what all the fuss is about with Mission Viejo? I mean they are good but they are beatable. I would not be suprised by the Santa Margarita / Edison winner beating MV in the Second Round. Santa Margarita is a very well coached team and Harry Welch can really coach it up in tournament play. MV is not a shoe in here they must earn it. It is not like they are dominating opponents right from the start. Yes, true they eventually win but I am not convinced they are the best team in the tournament. There will be some upsets along the way in this one count on it. As for our Lancers it is one game at a time. MV is down the road First things First and that Tesoro. No one must look ahead, you get caught watching the paint dry and guess what? your home for Thanksgiving.

CIF had no other choice than to make Amat a 4th seed or 5th seed. Look at the CIF PAC 5 polls prior to week 10. LB Poly and Lakewood were ranked 4th and 5th repsectively. They couldn't play each other in the second round. Amat couldn't be 6th seed because of Alemany being 3rd seed. How about 7th seed maybe. CIF wants a potential second round game between either Los Al and or Crespi against Servite. Head Coach of Servite is former Crespi coach. John Barnes of Los Al turned down the Servite job. Great second round game. It is what it is. Like Hags said everyone is 0-0 and the second season starts.

I hope the coach's know it's their job to identify the situation and adjust with another player or play!!

Fred, your showing your lack of football experience when you come on here and try to tell us why Arroyo's going to win instead of why San Dimas has shown how to lose a sure bet.

Not only wouldn't CIF pair 1st & 2nd in the same half of the bracket - it is against their posted Playoff Rules to do so. For that reason Amat couldn't be the 6 seed and needed to be in the other half of the Bracket. At that point - being as far away from Mission Viejo is best. Keeping in mind Amat has played the other two teams in our quarter bracket - the Tesoro game was almost a formality.

I would rather had been a 6th seed and face Alemany in the quarters and then Servite in the Semis. Amat played its worst game of the year and were still in it until the end. Lakewood will take care of Alemany. Servite is not that good this year. CIF would never pair a 1st and 2nd place team from the same league in the the same bracket. Go Amat

fred, wrong again my friend, there IS a big difference between the 3rd and 4th seed, number 3 seed will play the 2nd seed in the semis and number 1 seed plays 4 in the semis, unless you're saying Servite is Mission Viejos equal, which they are not

Robledo, get a clue my friend. The game will be a blowout. Tesoro has some very nice talent in the making, but as we saw against San Clemente and MV, they can't score against a good defense.

Amat will pressure the QB into making mistakes and basically shutting down an already feable offense. When the Tesoro QB isn't on his back, he will be scrambling for his life, and throwing picks.

Tesoro has a good defense, but they are vulnerable to giving up big numbers to a good offense. Amat has proven to have a solid, balanced attack.

Final score: Amat 34 - Tesoro 7

Fred, I'm in 100% agreement with you on the Arroyo vs. San Dimas game. Although San Dimas seems to be running out of that Championship Swagger they may have just enough left in them to go to the second round with what little bit of adrenelin they have.

Tago was their #1 back and Cody was their #3 back. Tago accounted for most of their rushing TD's. Huge loss for them. Aram is right on this one Fred. The QB is only a sophomore so he needs a bit more time to develop. However, It does say something about the kid when you start at that position as a sophomore.

Aram don't be embarrassed. it's okay we don't mind if you come on camera with your rollers on. BTW, stand by on the "nation" comment.
