CC vs. PA is the game of the week SGV boys…

Where’s that KH? Want to give him some facts to think about:

Eubanks: 2707 in passing yds, 22 tds; 1190 rushing, 18 tds

    Collins: 2321 yds, 42 tds

7,551 total O and 54.1 points per game.

Now Aaron and KH boy, want to try and talk smack now? I’ll be on the 50 yard line with A BIG MIKE shirt on.

    Bring it to Home depot!

  • Coaches Corner

C’mon guys the Season just got over…….

So who do you think #1 will be????

  • jmcdonough

Isnt that the truth! Brace yourself to all the Senior Football players and parents. Depression sets in for awhile. But I can tell you that time will heal! Until next Season, Happy Holidays to all the fellow bloggers in the SGV, and especially to Aram and Fred and Steve. Great job again guys! Thanks for all you do!

When can Los Altos freshmen still transfer out without penalty?

Hey about Covina vrs Azusa week 2 fred….Covina has El Monte but Im sure they would be kind enough to allow this to happen…

  • Lancer#76
  • Colt74

I SECOND the AZUSA-COVINA scheduling! Coach Thomas…it only takes a couple of phone calls!

  • Bulldog Dad

You can always watch the replay of the West Covina Bonita championship game on Charter Cable. Airs at 3:00PM and 10:00PM each day this week.

  • 12th man

I actually think the rain will affect Palo Alto more then it will CC..I can see a lot of missed tackles..Not to mention the recievers already know where to break on there routes..the defenders will have a hard time planting there front feet trying to make a break on the cuts…It should be a good game if both teams can hang on to the ball..but i have to give the edge to CC they have a remarkable special teams unit & there high potent no huddle offense is usually too much for teams to handle & thats when conditions are good, they dont need any help with the rain & a muddy field & thats exactly the situation for tonights game!~…Hey! but you never know which way the wet pigskin is gonna bounce!

  • AZTEC PRIDE

Coach Scherf, go ahead and pick Covina since we didn’t meet in the playoffs and should be a great game.

  • Coach

    Transfer,

Freshmen can take the Freshmen option up to the first day of their sophomore year. If this is a football transfer you need to transfer in June. Some players transfer at the semester break coming up in a few weeks. Putting them in a very good position with their new school.

  • Huskies

Azusa!!! Why don’t u step it up a notch, go for that Glendora game.

BTW, WC team was not all homegrown! Just a fact.

  • Dan

Here is my best guess for top SGV teams to look out for for in 2011, these are in alphabetical order,

Arcadia – I believe they return majority of their starters from a young team that was competitive with the rest of the Pacific league. Hear a lot of good things on here about Taylor Lagace.

Bishop Amat – Return many skill players on both sides of the ball including their whole backfield. Ruiz will be in his second year as varsity QB, don’t know a lot about their line situation.

Charter Oak – They lose Santiago, Rufus, Thropay, Avila and more, but they had a couple of good freshmen teams the past two years who are coming up the ranks, I get the feeling they will be their old selves again.

Chino Hills – They are losing several studs but they usually reload enough to be one of the better teams in the Sierra each year.

Covina – I think the Colts just may have a team like they had in 06, almost every one coming back, Livingston and Ainsworth and Co. should give West Co another run for their money in week 0.

Monrovia – They broke the ice, they got that elusive title, more kids are staying home instead of coming to play east of the 605, this could be the start of a dynasty for the Wildcats.

South Hills – Jamal Hart at runningback and Jaime Canada at WR should make for a fearsome dual threat on offense if they can produce their
usual solid line that they usually produce every year. 3 Sophomore linebackers will be a year better on “D”. This could be a very good team.

West Covina – If they can come up with another good line [its looking like they will], they should have another loaded team, several skill starters returning. Biggest concern is they need a quarterback, if they get a solid replacement for George Johnson they could be one of the best teams in the SGV.

I think Bonita and Glendora lose most of their key players but I thought I remember those teams having a couple of good years in a row at the lower levels so they could be on the watch list.

  • GO CC

    Lancer #76

At least they are playing tonight and already have a ring. What have you done lately?

Not a frenkin thing! Maybe you need some of their milk… they would smoke you big time!

  • Coach Pasadena

    Attention;
Sorry to scare you guys but Santiago was a jr. Watch out for those chargers.

  • Aaron

Going to take a look at the teams Dan put up.

Charter Oak – Santiago comes back as a third year starter, but he loses Thropay and Rufus…Kurt Skobee is a rising Sophomore though. Solid year, but will they take the next step in the Inland?

Chino Hills – Losing a ton of playmakers but there is talent there.

Covina – So many studs back…so this is their year if there is going to be one.

Monrovia – Lose Nick Bueno, but there is so much there if they don’t go deep I’ll be disappointed.

South Hills – They went 3-7, a lot of young guys but would Jaime Canada really have made a difference? NO! I don’t know but I don’t see them above .500 until I see there schedule.

West Covina – Solomon is back, but who will be the big boys up front? What about who will play QB. Lou Farrar talks about graduating seniors every year and replacing them. West Covina loses 29 seniors to graduation. I think they have a solid year though, I’m thinking they will be the league champion but we’ll see.

Now as far as the old Alma Mater is concerned, we will be ok. Bonita also is losing 25 seniors to graduation. The offensive line will again be new or so it seems to always be but it brings back its starting center and right tackle. With the injuries to Rezy, McKenzie, and Pichotta a lot of the younger guys had to play early on (Santa Fe Game). Big Offensive linemen in the under classes. Seems the whole defense will be new though. Also who will play QB? Based on the rest of the league I see Bonita making the playoffs.

Teams that we didn’t take a look at:

Santa Fe- Very young this last season, they started to roll when Christian Mahlstede was finally given the reigns at QB, Del Rio Champs I think.

Cal-Very young and did enough to make the playoffs.

Maranatha…for being a year away they made an impact on the Olympic game one. Olympic Champs easy.

speaking of wrestling, does anyone have results o fthis weeks duals in the sgv?????
heard “c-town” was gearing up for an upset of their cross-town rivals.

  • NorthviewMOM

    Wrestling UPDATE!

JV Northview over Covina….Very close but Northview Wins with an exciting finish.

Varsity Northview over Covina….Sorry but it wasn’t even close….If I am remembering right out of 14 weights Northview only lost 3 matches.

  • 12th man

Wow!! Im starting to think that Corona Centennial mite have been Overrated!! After watching them play for the 1st time i do believe there are a couple of teams from the SGV who could beat them..Either Palo Alto has the best defense in all of CIF football or the Inland div. wasn’t so tough this year making CC look like superstars…Whatever the case may be, I have never seen horrific play calling from inside the 5 yard line in quite some time..CC failed to score 3 times inside the 5 on the same plays..thats 9 downs on 2 drives & a two point conversion try..Not once did they try to go outside or set up a bubble screen or a short pass! Its was almost agonizing to watch..Im glad they didn’t represent the Southern Section open div..It clearly shows that Servite deserves to be there…I know theres going to be a lot of people that say the rain was a big factor & all of that..But you have to give the Palo Alto defense credit for coming up with the big plays when they had too..If the CC coach couldnt tell he was in a dogfight & it was going to be a close game he should take credit for the loss! They had plenty of opportunitys to atleast get 3 points on the board everytime they were inside the 5, sometimes scoring so many points against weaker teams gets the best of you & greed sets in!

  • Joe Figueroa

The inland empire all-star may be in January, then police and firefighter games start in in February or March.

  • Oh. Ver. Rated !

Not impressed with CC at all. Beat Mater Dei without MDs best players. Who else did they beat? Birmingham? Notre Dame Sherman Oaks beat them. Vista Murrietta in the finals? Crespi beat them. Upland in the quarters? Loyola beat them and they couldn’t even win a game in the Serra. Amat beat each of those teams in league. Based on what I saw – Amat beats CC.

  • IE TOWN

    KH

YOUR LITTLE CATS MILK GOT YOU WHERE THIS YEAR? NO LEAGUE TITLE AND NO RING! I AM STILL WAITING TO SEE WHEN THE LAST BOWL GAME WAS FOR ANY SGV TEAM AND WHAT YEAR?

SCHEDULE US, THEN POP OFF BECAUSE YOUR WEAK TEAM WITH SMALL LB’S COULDN’T HANG WITH THE BIG DOGS AND BIG BOYS FROM THE IE.

NOW I KNEW BB WOULD COME UP, WHAT HAPPEN LAST YEAR? NO RING. ALOT OF TALK FROM A BUM FROM LA VERNE.

OH, CLAREMONT IS IN WHO’S LEAGUE? NICE TRY DUMB A@@..

ANYBODY READY TO CALL COACH AND FILLED YOUR HOLES IN THE SCHEDULE AND STEP UP!

NOTSINCE 1995: YOUR TEAM WENT WHERE? NADA TOO!

FREDDY BOY, MAKES SURE THIS HITS YOUR LIST, TRYING TO SENSOR READERSHIP. YOU DRINKING THAT PUSSYCAT MILK TOO?

  • Love our milk

    Kh

While you’re sipping on some hot chocolate, you might want to re-think that your Kittycats or Bullfogs could even hang 1Q with us. Our Jv team would beat both you small homers.

I’ll add 1086 tackles and roughly 535 total O per game. Heck, doesn’t our QB have more rushing yards than your regular back? Who did you play this year?

    Keep dreaming!

  • jmcdonough

Isnt that the truth! Blow yourself all the Senior Football players and parents. Depression always sets in for me. But I can tell you to go to heal! Until next Season, Happy Holidays to all the fellow fattys in the SGV, and especially to Aram and Fred, kh and Steve. Thanks for all your poo!

  • 12th man

Servite getting there A@$## handed to them on a silver platter! Complete dominance by DLS in every aspect of the game! Servite has a total of -2 yards in the first half..The Nor Cal teams came ready to play & seem superior to the So Cal teams…

  • JFR

    12th man,

You talk about the IE and CC being weak? I would love to hear your take on that game last night and the mighty pac 5. CC worked MD, CH beat Tesoro and Crespi beat MV. I would say somewhat even. I just can’t believe the A$$ whoppin Socal took this weekend, very depressed whenever any team loses to the northern libs.

  • jmcdonough

west Covina will win another cif ring in basketbal and basebal amat and damin are week this season just like foootbal .bonita basball is supesed to have a monster team as does west cov. bulldogs another cif ring. any team in the hacienda leage will sprae fathers milk in your eye ie town and Joe Figueroa. you better teach thos little criminals to hit in a hurray.
the ie sucketh fathers milk and cant play fooobal neither. jfr dont make much sence.
    kh has your number!

  • Covina Who?

    JMC

For you to talk about criminals is a joke! You and your family should know a little about getting booked. LOL

CC would wipe the $hit out of most teams in the SGV.

You and Kh have something in common. Spelling problems!

    Have another beer, you loser!

  • IE TOWN

    Jm

From what I saw this year, none of the “little studs” you mentioned played a true crappy IE team or anyone out of our league.

The little boys from the SGV just need to step up and schedule us. What league is Covina in and what division? Sounds like that varsity team might be able to comp with our lower levels… Maybe!

Go have some Menudo and lay off the beer.

    Covina Who

Which school do you rep in the IE?

  • jmcdonough

    IE TOWN,
I really dont like beer but Ill drink the hell out of Jack. So now that Im off the crapper heres to you!
Other than lettuce pickers and x cons, what athletes of note have you produced? Thats what I thought, none! The San Gabriel/ Pomona Valley, too many to list.
Last baseball season, which seems to be your best sport, you produced ZERO champs. CC is a joke and Im sure you know that. You are right about Covina; they suck fathers groin milk as do you and are perennial bottom dwellers! Im sure youre just talking through your ass as you must be a Wine drinker.
Amazing how my spelling and grammar got better.
    Merry Christmas!

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
