Mike Scioscia showing once again he’s a class act, spends almost two hours at South Hills

You know what’s great about this news, I didn’t hear about it until today. I didn’t hear a word from from the Angels or South Hills promoting the fact that Angels manager Mike Scioscia visited South Hills last week for an impromptu coaching lesson that was set up by former Mt. SAC coaching legend Art Mazmanian, who has been helping Huskies coach Kevin Smith in recent years. Scioscia was there to work with junior catcher C.J. Saylor, one of the best age-group catchers in the country. He worked with Saylor for about 45 minutes, then when sixth period began and the rest of the team started crowding around Scioscia asked Smith if he could speak to the rest of the team, and continued on for another 45 minutes. That’s my kind of guy.
