Howdy! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've had issues with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
CO has a lot of talent but the problem is that Coach Phillips is perpetually manufacturing "Discipline Problems". The team consists of good kids that work their tail off and the problem is his negative blame-game attitude and poor coaching especially the failure to play the best possible line-up, and not with them. The truth is that during the game against Valley View on Friday night he told the kids that they were embarrassing him in front of his wife. You heard that right, embarrassing HIM. He proceeded to quit on the team by pulling all the starters before the end of the first half which resulted in their opponent going on a 10-0 run in a minute and a half which put them way too far behind. Coach, this is YOUR fault so stop blaming the players. Then, at the start of the 4th quarter, he pulled all the starters and refused to put them into the game. Again, this is YOUR fault for playing kids that have no chance to succeed against superior players. After this game, he then set an 8:00 a.m. “practice” on Saturday morning to punish the kids. Five of the kids told him that they couldn’t attend and according to Phillips watch, which I believe is a few minutes fast, four of the starters showed up at 8:01 a.m. so he refused to let them into the gym. The “practice” for the few attending players was shooting for 45 minutes. But, even if these kids were 1 minute late, is that really a discipline problem? Plus, he doesn’t have any rules in place for players that are late and many times in the past no action was ever taken. So, where’s the consistency? Even more moronic is that many times Coach Phillips has been 10 minutes late to practice. Phillips needs to wake up to the fact that CO will never beat a good team playing the 2nd and 3rd string but by going with the team’s strength, which is to always have 3 of the 4 kids that are 6’5” on the court along with Chuck at point and either Emil or Isaiah at the two. Until Phillips does that, the blame for losing solely rests on his shoulders.
damien beats nogales. 81-41
Damien beat Nogales
Charter Oak beat San Dimas.
Gladstone has really stepped it up. I'm excited to see how far they will go! Good luck on Wed Gladstone.
Nice pic of Taylor Anderson from Bonita with her parents. Good luck this year and in college Taylor!
Damien is up to #11 in SoCal by the LA Times, they are 5-0 and will probably see Amat later on in the week in the championship rounds.
