Does anyone else think that Bishop Amat should be in the Mission League with some of their football foes (ND, Alemany) and higher quality teams in the area (Harvard Westlake, Flintridge SH)? That would be a much more competative sitaution for them. (plus we wouldn’t have to deal with them in DIII anymore! haha)

    LA Futbol,

I, for one, have been a proponent of the Mission League joining us in the Del Rey and Camino Real in a 3-league Conference that allows for even more movement within the leagues for teams that do well and some relief for teams that struggle.

To be honest, it is some of the more “snooty” schools in the Mission League that prefer not to have to leave the friendly confines of the San Fernando Valley.

But I think it would be great for all sports outside of football

Good season SD, got shut out again, finally ran into some defense.

  • saintsgirlsr4real

Hey Relax, why all the hate? Were you at the game today? It was La Jolla who ran into some defense. Their only goal on a corner with a mass of bodies in front of the goal when they just scored 4 in their CIF final. Whats a matter, you a Northview fan? What are KH and her teammates up to today?

  • saintsfan

Oh, and including CIF finals and regionals how many times did San Dimas get shut out this year? That would be 4 including a 0-0 tie against South Hills, guess you must be a Bonita fan, not a Northview fan. Oh, and San Dimas supported your basketball girls in their season – and eventual loss in the finals so grow up.

Great game for the Saints. Didn’t look so good in the first half when the goal was scored, but Coach did some great realigning at halftime, and the Saints held the Vikings scoreless during the second half. With Brown injured Coach moved McKee to defense where she owned La Jolla’s main scorer, and moved Maribel Duran to outside mid rather than her usual forward. Jones in goal contributed some nice saves.

Playing girls outside of their usual positions in a regional championship game was risky, but these girls are such good athletes and such talented soccer players that the team was able to hold Southern California’s second-seeded soccer team scoreless in the second half. The Saints just couldn’t get the goal they needed to take it to OT. They all left with smiles on their faces knowing they’d had a great, history-making season for San Dimas High School. Fantastic job, ladies!
