Soccer Regionals: Amat girls, Claremont boys advance; San Dimas girls’ season ends with tough 1-0 loss

The Bishop Amat girls team, getting goals from Natalie Rivas and Kathleen Zamora, scored a 2-0 victory over No. 3 seed Frontier of Bakersfield in a SoCal Regional Division II first-round game on Monday.
San Dimas, playing in its first regional, wasn’t so looking dropping a 1-0 setback to No. 2 seed La Jolla. The Vikings will host the Lancers on Wednesday.
In the boys bracket, Claremont got an over-time goal from Hugo Lepe to beat Coronado, 1-0.
