The South Hills softball team was one of the top hitting teams in the area last year, and the Huskies showed their prowess to Bonita last season, pounding the Bearcats, 12-2, in a nonleague game at Mt. San Antonio College
Britney Rodriguez and Sam Nieves had the big games for South Hills. Rodriguez had a home run and four RBIs, while Nieves had a triple and four RBIs. Keira Portell also had a home run for the Huskies, who improved to 1-1. Bonita slipped to 4-1.
