I have been pretty quiet during basketball season. Now that All-League is out for the Hacienda League, I will comment on 2 matters that bother me. First thing on the boys side. How does Coleman from Walnut not even make the 2nd Team? He should have been a 1st Teamer, but at least I can understand why he didn't make it. Walnut can't have 3 players on 1st Team we get that. But to not even make 2nd Team? What were some of these coaches thinking?
Now on the Girls side. Bonita wins the League 12-0. Only the games with DR are even competitive. They get MVP and 1 player on 1st Team. Wheatly was clearly one of the top 5 players in the league. I know it only takes one or 2 coaches to vote wrong, maybe the other coaches should call them on it so that they all don't look bad. We can't have the 3rd and 4th place teams having more players on 1st Team than the top 2 team.
