Coach Greenie
Yeah he proved it on Friday and G-man didnt on Saturday..LOL What are you on? Olsen is wet behind the ears with a average varsity fastball and off speed is meat...
Let me make this as clear as I can for the simple mind, “the Olson kid is clearly our best pitcher”
Coach Greenie
Coaching solid? Are you kidding me! Does take any smarts to figure out what decision was wrong. I guess you play for game two, LOL
Coaching 101....
Reality is if Olson started Friday your staff gave up on that game!!! He cannot be your number one if you expect to go anywhere!ywezbt
The coaching did just fine on Friday, Bonita’s got a good ball club top to bottom. They outmatched us physically! The coaching was solid. Our ballplayers just had an off night! I’m hoping we will improve during the season or it’s going to be a long one.
Let’s not start something just because your boy didn’t get the start Friday, sometimes it’s best when parents keep their mouths shut! G, stick to football.
Keep the faith.
green and gold
You clowns are in for a LONG season. Nice coaching job on Friday...
Baller - that's a GREAT question. Orange Lutheran was 2nd in California and 28th in the NATION while Esperanza came in at 35th in the state and 138 in teh nation. for reference, the highest ranked SGV school was Glendora at 42nd followed by Anat at 84
Great pic of WC & Bullpuppy's kid at th eplate. Did you see this one?
http://is.gd/40RC0z
JFR, Fred routinely blocks post and I can see why he would block yours, you bring nothing to the table! JFR could stand for “Just Freaking Remedial”. Since most of Fred’s readers are very intelligent just like Fred and me. Besides, some of the stuff you write just hurts my feelings, so I had Fred delete it. There’s just no room for some of the crap you spew.
Bulldog fever….
Baseball nut what are esperanza and ol ranked in cif?
Fred, I can't believe you blocked that one. I mentioned how most excel whereas few don't. Nothing should be blocked when it comes to this door knob. I'm golfing with Lehigh this Friday on your vacation and was thinking about inviting you for the tenth time but after that Rome BLOCK I just don't know.
Really & Reality -
Damien beat Yucaipa today 7-0. Antonio G. threw 7 innings, everyone played great - it was like watching a different team today. Don't count us out.... Sparta will return!
Shocked Damien would throw Olson in against Bonita, seems to tell me they did not think they could win. Good young pitcher who throws hard, but has serious stamina issues. Saw him throw four innings in the Glendora 16 under Toys for Tots and he got jumped on pretty hard by the fourth inning by a bunch of Freshman and JV players. Great to throw hard - but the kid has little else.
Bulldogs 12 mark Keppel 0, I came on this thread hoping to se some kind of acknowledgements of our greatness this morning! your worst nightmare is starting to happen! Who else called it like that? I told all you unbelievers about the beat down we were going to put on Mark Keppel! You know, were goin to run the score up! Beat the ever loving crap out of them…ex…Since anyone else won’t say it “I’m a freaking genius”!!!
JFR, Don, and Aaron, thank you for the honor of “Father of the year” Buy the way, have you been fitted for you bridesmaids dresses yet? You may all kneel down and kiss the ring my friends.
Fred, where are my props? No one, and I mean no one, was dead on perfect like I was! You should be calling me Nostradamus! None of the little sissy’s had the nuts. We had the biggest blow out of the day! Just as much of a beat down we put on Bonita’s football team. Be afraid, be very afraid!
As always, we win with humility and class.
Bulldog Fever….
Bonita Guy
What game did you watch? Damien is weak on the mound and their hitting? They got CRUSHED.
Baller,
You may or may not be a AMAT hater, I can really care less, but to say that Amat will only play one good, ranked team, in preseason which they just lost, is really inaccurate. We can ALL agree that their LEAGUE schedule is weak and has been for awhile, but they play Esperanza today, Orange Lu on Monday who just beat a ranked team. They play Bonita # 2 in D-3, City Power Chatsworth, LB Wilson, who just a couple yrs back won it all in D-1. They also get El Segundo who is ranked AHEAD of Amat in D-4. They could get Mission Viejo, who is nationally ranked in the Elks tourney along with Capo Vlly. And how can you forget the National Classic, with Alemany, # 1 in D-2,& Cypress always ranked high, and ranked teams from Utah and Florida. This isn't a bash, or trash talk, but plz get things in order before you "blog it"
JFR, you’re working very hard at writing childish non-sense, WARNING! Soon, you will NOT be allowed in my presence to kiss the ring simply because you’re ignorant. Don, you seem to be somewhat intelligent, I’m considering you to be my “Ring Shine/ Jester boy” and, yes, Don you may kneel down and kiss the ring.
Go Bulls….
Ro, Amat is only playing one highly ranked team in the preseason and they just lost to them. The rest are average at best!
Missed yesterday's DH @ SAC due to work. So I am THINKING of taking a trip to the OC after some grub to catch some of the Newport Elks Tourney. AMAT @ Esperanza. Or maybe stick around the area and see a another good game with Los Altos @ Northview at 1:00. Also planning 2 b at the SH/WC game monday evening. Anyone else ?
Diamond Bar 3,Canyon of Anaheim 1
K. Mattews 8 k's 5 hits.
Today play Sonora hs at Sonora.
DOUCHEdog1,
Father of the year. I wish my dad would have come on the blog when I was in high school and embarrassed the hell out out of me. It's only a matter of time before administration or the coach tells you to shut the FU!
Still trying to be a champ through your kids is only a dream never was boy.

amats preseason is going to be tough, playing against very high ranked teams in southern california.
Congrats to the Bearcats. You team played well and Garza pitched a dandy. No excuses, we lost you won.
Just got back from the Bonita/Damien game, and if tonights game is any indication of the seasons for both teams, it is going to be a good year for Bonita. And sadly not a good year for West Covina. Justin Garza pitched a great 6 innings with Brandon Murffett cleaning it and shuting it down. Justin Row played a great game at shortstop before having a shoulder injury. Everybody hit well and played well. Damien has some bright spots too, Ryan Olsen started and pitched very well and aside from a couple of bad spots and not so much help from the field he has a bright future and Damien.
bonita 8 damien 1. justin garza pitched 6 scoreless innings and looked great.
Bulldoggy 1
Since this is a baseball thread, let's look at the froggies record over the last six years! Maybe a seven year itch coming up. LOL
Overall: 56-104
League: 22-50
Okay your clowns average 3.6 wins in league over the last six years. That's a STELLAR team?
Talks cheap!
Bulldog, chill out .. Even though West Covina has the CIF titles, if you asked most people come June who had the best sports school, most will say Bonita. They're too good across the board, and advancing to three finals and having other teams go deep in the playoffs is huge. Or put it this way, if Bonita and West Covina went head to head in every sport, Bonita wins in just about everything except football and wrestling.
Happy to help you out there mr bull.
Back during football season, when your favorite school was winning, they had pics of their football team almost every day. Since then, your teams haven't done so red hot so, no pictures. See, as I understand it, most of the interest around these parts is in programs that win, like, well, Bonita. As a matter of fact, I notice that according to the scores on Maxpreps, you guys are like 2 and 10 against the Bearcats so far in both boys and girls sports this year, the 2, of course, being the two football games your favorite team won. I said congrats then, so I won't repeat myself here like some do.
Do yourself, and probably more important, do your kids a favor and consider a little more low key approach. It rarely does a player much good to be noted mostly for the antics of a parent and sadly, sometimes, others hold it against the kid rather than the adult. I hope that doesn't happen to yours, but should it, you have only yourself to blame.
Alan BOY, Did your mama teach you to spell too? Or did you learn that on your own there at Bonita high? Oooooh, 6’2” but you probably 2.6” were it counts of pure Jell-O I’ll bet! Most people like you “pad” their size to make up for something else. I’m glad your not coming back on here, it was becoming a little embarrassing to say the least.
Fred, are you coming out for batting practice today against Mark Keppel at West Covina? It’s just a warm up for the game Monday against So Hills at Maverick Park.
Don, why do they take so many pictures of the losing teams and not the winning teams? So many pictures of Bonita sobbing this year and not enough pictures of the winners like Damien, Lutheran and us?
Alan BOY, I haven’t decided whether you get to kiss the ring yet! You haven’t earned the privilege!
Bulldog Fever….
73,
AFAIK all is well with kh. He was up north with the team during their 'bonding' trip the week before last and I saw the kid just a couple days ago. (BTW, I think KC will look swell in that new #8 Jersey. Good number for a team leader like he is.)
As for bullfrog, (noted for large noises from a small package), it's probably just as well he gets no more attention than he does. If he is who I think he is, he will be in for a loooonng season when he shows up almost anywhere, (remember lil debbie's remark about “coaching from the stands”, we all know how well THAT goes over).
For all of the teams getting started, good luck on a healthy, injury-free season. I hope your hard work is paid off in success and for those who would gloat over ANY kid's possible injury, real or just rumored: think hard about YOUR overuse of our precious O2.
Don,
Any word on kh. Rather strange no comments on bb season so far by him . Hope everything is alright with him . Real surprised he hasn't given bullfrog0 a lashing kh style. Good luck this season to both Bearcat teams .
Pretty funny when your system censors my reply to truth and permits the silliness from puppydog and lil debbie.
realBaseball
shhhh, don't engage in such a childish conversation with Bulldog. Let the mouthy little underachieving spoiled rotten team do their talking on the field like they always do....talking crap only leads to bad karma and jinxing.
Dude, Bulldog 1, I would lay off tossing bombs down Cameron Ave. Games are not won on blogs. You get smoked by LaSalle on Thursday and you come out tossing grenades at SH. STUPID. Everything you say about them may be true, but you still havent beaten them in several years. Again, STUPID.
If south hills stinks then why did they beat west Covina 24 straight times? Numbers speak for themselves.
RealBASEBALL,
Your baseball team is a little like sex with your old woman, once you get past the smell of the South Hills campus, it’s not so bad. Your baseball team stinks. I guess we’ll find out Friday when we mop the floor with you and run up the score.
Win or lose, we always play with humility and class.
Go Bulldogs….
Bulldog1 you wanna talk about south hills? last time I checked south hills beat the bulldogs 24 straight time and won 10 straight league titles. they just didnt talk they showed it on the field. anything else u need to say?
Tournament is officially named Southern California Pre-season Tournament presented by Dick's Sporting Goods.
Please visit wwwleaguelineup.com/dickspreseasontournament for a full and accurate schedule of the 1st three rounds of tournament play. Schedule on here is NOT accurate. The final day of the tournament will be held on Saturday, March 12th in the city of LaVerne. All Saturday's games will be held at either the University of LaVerne, Damien HS, or Bonita HS. Looking forward to some great matchups.
It’s sad watching a great tradition fall apart before your very eyes.
Fred, which games are you going to?
Fear,
The only fear at Henderson is an outfielder backing up for a pop up and running into the fence.
You ask, Bulldog will be doing most of the coaching “off the record” from the bleachers, this season, he’s been working real hard with the team this off season, so we will dominate. His boys are both superstar caliber little players. With the right supporting cast and our fireballer, head hunting, not afraid to pitch inside Johnson, who, as you know, he knows how to win. By the way, we are thinking of adopting the So Hills and Glendora, Bonita Cheerleaders because of their resemblance to a Bulldog!
kidding me right,
you might want to ask Yucaipa if they know who Glendora is.
Want to talk about embarrassing! How bout a team that lost to Rowland last year! That's embarrassing! West Cochina has decent ball players but a dumba$$ coach. Let's vote on what we do today hit in the cage or soft toss. That's what I hear from their players. The coach let's the kids run practice! What an EMBARRASSMENT!
The problem at Henderson as I se it is, Pitchers fear the short porch.
hey didnt Glendora lose to northview in the liddle tournament and won on a time technicallity? I saw every single kid put their tails between their legs when northview got a lil rowdy and started getting base hits....they tried to play the game that northview has made tradition which is talking it up, and Glendora folded. not that awesome. And Do you not know who yucaipa s? Div.2 finalist . its ok be mad cause your rich name wont bring anyone to your tournament anymore....have fun playin in that cracker jack field. we'll enjoy playing at uc riverside.
What!
Of course I’m talking about the south Hills Baseball team! For years that mouthy little underachieving spoiled rotten team and its coach have been a total “embarrassment to the whole SGV area!
Denise is somewhat right. The dimensions at Henderson field are “little leagueish” .BBCOR bats, so what! Be a man, use a wood bat, they’re legal! Other than, it appears other than West Covina, what “HUGE” teams are there?
Glendroa Rocks!
Don,
Please keep us posted on the Glendora tourney, scores etc.
And does anyone know the championship round schedule for the bonita tourney?
Having attended the Glendora tourney for years I just do not agree that the field was such a factor. I believe that the best teams seemed to find their way to the championship game and that it was nice being able to watch games and teams in close proximity and at night. I like that they hand out patches for all tournament that many other tourneys do not. Thats a cool thing for the players. And by the way , with the BBCOR bats teams would be better off at Henderson than these huge college fields. You will see that there will be very few HR's hit at Mt. Sac and Riverside.
The BBCOR bats are dead.
For my son and I we will miss the Glendora tourney.
From a coaches view it seemed like maybe they did not want to play the local league teams before league started. Or they wanted to play 5 games in their first tourney.
The drawback to the new tourney is the fields are all over, the college fields are huge, and now there are parking fees to go with entry fees.
I think it's kind of a shame what has happened to the Glendora Tourney. "Most" of the areas good teams are now playing elsewhere instead of the G.T. What happened? 33 years and all of a sudden the G.T. is on the back burner? This new tourney looks impressive, lot's of quality teams. There are some potential stiff's too but that happens everywhere, but you gotta love the effort by those teams trying to mix it up with the "Big Boys". Is it really the "little league field dimensions" that have killed the G.T. or is it something else? Maybe if they changed the location or something?
Tartans Rule
Are you high or what? the Bonita/Northview tourney has a line up of HUGE teams and were playing in real parks, not little Pony field.
Glendora will suck BIG TIME THIS YEAR.....
Bulldog1,
When you compare your neighbors in South Hills as being nasty & spoiled, I know you aren't talking about the baseball team are you? Obviously you have never met any of them if you think so.
Henderson field is a glorified “Little League” Field and it's in terrible condition. Young adults don’t want to play there.
The Northview, Bonita tourn. Is the best cuz we are in it: we bring the class and humility to the game. Your base ball team is a disaster. The Glendora kids are nasty and spoiled like our neighbors in South Hills, our Cheerleaders are prettier and smarter too.
Go Bulldogs….
This new Northview/Bonita baseball tournament looks to be a real suck fest, all the best teams will be at Henderson field for the granddaddy of them all.

Finally! My favorite time of year!
Correct the Aprils to March...
Great job by John Knott and Darren Murphy in putting together some very talented teams from the IE as well as local favorites to kick this thing up competitively. Also cool is the addition of higher end venues like Citrus, Sac, and UC Riverside, nice parks all and a bit of a treat for the players and fans.
Friday's double header ought to draw a pretty good crowd. Don't forget $3 for a parking pass or the sac attack will ding you for a parking ticket.
Looks like it will b a fun and exciting season. I will attempt to make to Friday's DH @ MT SAC. South Hills/Covina @ 4:00 and Bonita/Damien @ 7:00
Wow, Pool B is stacked. Bonita 2010 Div.3 Finalist; Damien 2010 Div. 2 Quarter Finalist; Yucaipa Div. 2 Finalist. This will be the pool to watch.
