Baseball: Bishop Amat at 'home,' Bonita on the road in Tuesday's semifinals

| | Comments (5) |

If Bishop Amat and Bonita are going to play for CIF--Southern Section baseball titles, they must win games away from the San Gabriel Valley in Tuesday's semifinals.
Bonita, which lost in the finals last season, travels to Beckman for a 3:15 p.m., with the winner advancing to the championship. Bishop Amat has the home game, but because the school's softball team is also at home, the Lancers have chosen to play their semifinal against Torrance at USC's Dedeaux Field, which is closer to Torrance than La Puente. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday's Semifinals
Division 3

Bonita at Beckman, 3:15 p.m.
Division 4
Torrance vs. Bishop Amat at USC, 6:30 p.m.

Davey boy - playing a game at the iconic Keifer Stadium is the best high School Football experience in the valley without a doubt. No other stadium is filled with the excitement that that environment brings. Period. Now try a different argument.

Maybe they should start playing Rio Hondo Prep-- Flintridge or WEBB ??
BA IS WEAK--- SO ARE ALL THE FANS -- Get a football field and pop off

@dave, Amat doesn't choose what division they play in, cif makes that call. Amat has the toughest schedule in the state, that's why they get respect from people in the know.

Dave - you're an uninformed @$$. teams don;t go into playoffs - entire leagues do. That means Amat goes wherever St Paul, La Salle, St Monica, and Bishop Montgomery go. Should they move up too? Amat has played the toughest schedule in the valley form game one through today - and it is not even close.

Can someone please tell me how Arcadia is in a higher division in baseball than Bishop Amat? This is a big joke-- That coach would rather play Rim of the World in Division 15 if it meant going to Dodger Stadium
Step up and play a real division like your football team !!! Steve Haggerty is 50x the coach this mook is
