Hacienda League Finals Results

By Steve Ramirez
Glendora's Lauren Justus is the two-time reigning area girls cross country of the year and brought that success to the track. Justus led a group of four Tartans to individual titles during the Baseline League finals at Los Osos High School on Friday.
Justus, who had a solid showing during last month's Mt. San Antonio College Relays, won the 1,600 and 3,200 meters. She set the pace in the 1,600 with a time of 5:17.59. The senior then doubled in the 3,200, which she won in 11:32.5.

Glendora's other victories came in the field events, where Makayla Jacoub won the pole vault at 10 feet, 4 inches and Raquel Bartholomew took first in the discus with a throw of 116-8.

The meet was dominated by Los Osos and Rancho Cucamonga, which had 12 and 10 medalists, respectively.

Los Osos' success was led by its relay teams, which won both 400-meter relays, with the boys winning in 41.84 and the girls in 47.36.

Los Osos' Aaron Prince-Johnson and Hakim Rahmaan also finished first and second, respectively, in the 100 meters, in 10.76 and 10.79.

All winners and qualifiers now look to the CIF-Southern Section prelims, which are scheduled for next Saturday at four respective sites.

The CIF-SS divisional finals are scheduled for Cerritos College on May 21, with the CIF State championships scheduled for June 3-4 at Buchanan High School in Clovis.
