Track: League finals day, will report back with video and story from Valle Vista League finals; Covina's Remontay McClain runs state-best 10.45 in 100 meter qualifier

Today is track and field finals days for most league's in our area. The Sierra League finals are at Claremont HS (3:15 p.m.); Hacienda League finals at Rowland HS (3:15 p.m.); Del Rey League finals at Serra HS (3 p.m.); Montview League finals at Bassett HS (3:15 p.m.); and Valle Vista League finals at Baldwin Park (3:15 p.m). On Friday, the Baseline League finals are at Los Osos (3 p.m.) and Mission Valley at El Monte (3:15 p.m.)

Obviously, we can't cover every finals meet, there are simply too many. For those who want their results in the paper, league coordinators must contact Steve Ramirez. He will be in the office later taking results over the phone and writing as much as he can. You can send him results at steve.ramirez@sgvn.com, but make sure you leave a contact number and have the results sent by 8 p.m., or call Steve in the office at 626-962-8811, ext. 2242 or 2233. I will report straight from the Valle Vista League finals at Baldwin Park, all others need to contact Steve.
