You know what would be a great All-Star game? How about the first team vs. the 2nd team.

How about a round robin type mini tournament with the all star teams from the S.G.V Tribune, Star News, and WHittier Daily news. I doubt this idea is even feasible, but it would be fun nonetheless.

The MVP for the first game was:
Nicholas Suniga from Montclair Prep.

MVP for the second game was:
Nolan Henley from Bonita High School.

Congratulations to Rio Ruiz, couldn't go to a better player. Great kid! Congratulations to all the valley players recognized.

Look for Justin Garza as CIF player of the year next season, just as he should be this year! Garza, once again, showed why he should without a doubt be the SGV's baseball player of the year. He threw 2 great innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 3, on 18 pitches, 15 of them being strikes, topping out at 91 mph. He made a great play covering 1st on a ground ball that got away from the 1st baseman. He also made great plays at short and at third, and drove in 2 runs. Easily the MVP at the underclassmen All-Star game.
