CIF-SS Finals: South Hills softball will play Friday

The CIF-Southern Section office released the championship game schedule for softball this morning, and South Hills High School, which routed Bishop Amat 16-1 in the semifinals, will play top seed Oaks Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine.
The Huskies are in the championship game for the second consecutive year, losing to Whittier Christian in 2010.
In Baseball, Bishop Amat, seeking its third Division 4 title, faces top seed Palm Desert Friday at 4:30 at Dodger Stadium. The Aztecs, led by Ryan Garvey, son of former Dodger Steve Garvey, won the division last season.
