Bonita’s Courtney Gano named to Cal-Hi Sports All-State Softball Team

Tribune softball player of the year Courtney Gano was named to the Cal-Hi Sports All-State Softball Team …

This is what Cal Hi Sports wrote about her: After an off-season transfer from Los Altos of Hacienda Heights to Bonita, Gano enjoyed a monster season. She led the Bearcats to a 23-5 record with a whopping .630 batting average, 37 runs, 12 doubles, four homers and 28 RBIs. Gano also was a flawless defender at shortstop and beat out a strong field to be named the San Gabriel Valley Tribune’s Player of the Year. Gano committed to the University of Washington after her freshman season and signed with the Huskies last fall.

This award is well deserved!!!! Courtney is a very talented player and a great kid. Best of luck to her at Washington.

Here are the links for the other All-State Teams which have some other players from the SGV. Congratulations to all the players selected.

Couldn’t have happened to a more sweeter girl and terrific player.

  • Scott Fisch

Don’t forget Huskies Britney Rodriguez and Kristen Stewart. They also made the list. Too bad they didn’t get some of the headlines…

  • Where’s Waldo

Gee Fish, I don’t see them on the first team list????

Not really over the Oak’s trama??

Fish, where is the compliment for Courtney being the only local player to make first team all-state?
    You are classless!
So instead of acknowledging Courtney and adding to the post, you choose to show your lack of respectand reading comprehension by stating YOUR players received the same award as she did. They didn’t.
Try checking that ego at the door before hitting the submit button

  • Give it a break!!!

    You want Headlines, here’s a couple……

2011.06.02: South Hills coach Scott Fisch on Friday’s championship against No. 1 Oaks Christian, “You want a quote, we’re going to win.”

2011.06.03: South Hills falls in championship for second straight year, losing to Oaks Christian 10-1

I like how Fred is blocking certain comments. Haha. Not all of them but certain ones that will make him and his pals look bad.

  • Scott Fisch

Wow. I didn’t know some of you cared. Thanks for your feedback. At least I used my name…Know back to your TV, beer, remote and blow up doll…

  • wow

@ fisch, what is wrong with you? those 2 girl didnt get first team. or second team… or even third team. so what about you either be an adult and congratulate Courtney on her success (which i doubt you have ever done bcuz ur a child) or just stay off this thread and get a life.. no wonder everyone hates you.
