Softball: Mavridis, O’Toole, Harkness and Swan equal great things for St. Lucy’s in 2012

St. Lucy’s softball should have some year in 2012 with four soon-to-be seniors already verballed. With Danielle Mavridis verballing to the University of San Diego last week, she joins Danielle O’Toole (San Diego State), Brandi Harkness (St. Joseph’s University) and Laura Swan (University of Illinois, Chicago) on the college bound list. Also, St. Lucy’s has named Valerie Pentolino as the new athletic director.

    Congratulations Regents!!!! You make us so proud. I can see these young ladies with the CIF ring next year.

    In addition, much heart felt wishes to our St. Lucy’s soccer coach Mark Faurot who passed away on Thursday. He was diagnosed after the soccer season and it was a quick battle. Mark has been with St. Lucy’s for some time. The nicest guy anyone would ever want to know and way to young to pass. Rest in Peace Mark.

    I hope saint lucys has a great season they deserve it!
    & I hope a certain DAD who is a so called travel ball coach and has a senior daughter on the team can now put to rest the commenting (Anonymously)here on this site after every game. Just sit back and enjoy watching your kid play after all shes done all the work. Our girls deserve the Joy of the season with 100% support no drama ok Mr. :)
