Last week: Aram was better by a game last week and took a three-game lead in the standings, which I promise won’t happen too often. I’m not use to playing catch-up, so I’m going to be careful on those “out-on-a-limb” picks, like taking Glendora over Monrovia, that was a mistake. Games we both missed on were taking Baldwin Park over Lancaster, Bassett over Mountain View and Pomona over Chino.

This week: Los Altos against rival Wilson and Duarte hosting something named Fulton should help both teams go to 3-0. I do like South Hills over West Covina, especially with the Bulldogs nursing some pretty hefty injuries. Amat will get back on track this week (they have too), and Charter Oak looks to keep its top spot and should at Esperanza. The toughest games to call are La Serna-Bonita, Sierra Vista-Mountain View, Rowland–Rosemead, San Dimas-San Gabriel and if you believe Calpreps, Chino Hills at Tesoro. In fact, Calpreps has Chino Hills beating Tesoro, 21-20, which I’m not buying.
