I know this is not football related but Gooo Michael Young! Win a MLB championship tonight. Just another stud from Bishop Amat . Fred u should do a thing on Michael Young.
Amat in this game needs to blitz more on 3rd down and long. If Rio gets the time he did vs Crespi to throw the ball with accurancy Amat will win this game. Lots of "if's" on both sides. Another toss up but lets face it this is a Loyola team thats has been missing for a few years now. They are finally coming around and playing solid football once again after all of the coaching moves they have been through. Good close game could swing either way as the Serra is so unpredictable. Look for Crespi to come out blazing vs Alemany after being beat at home by Amat. Losing 2 straight games in this Serra league is not going to get you a bid this season. A team losing 2 straight has punched their ticket to staying home. My Pick: Amat
LA Times Article......
In the Serra, wins by Loyola and Alemany on Friday would set up a league title decider next week at Alemany. Loyola has to get past Bishop Amat while Alemany faces Encino Crespi. More importantly, wins would give the Cubs and Warriors the magical two victories that would likely secure a Pac-5 Division playoff spot.
If both lose, the league race becomes more than muddled, and suddenly Bishop Amat and Crespi would thrust themselves into the title and playoff picture.
This will definately be Bishop Amat's toughest game~...Loyola is legit they have a big line on both sides of the ball..They play smashball football & like to wear down there opponents...Amat defense looked good against Crespi because they dont run the ball efectively & the 4 turnovers kept them from scoring(credited to the secondary)....I feel like Amat will have to challenge the Loyola DB's atleast once or twice during the game..They have seen film & done there homework look for the Corners & safety to play a few yards off the ball & challenge Amat to burn them down the field...
