Girls Volleyball playoffs: San Dimas’ amazing run continues; St. Lucy’s back in semifinals again

San Dimas makes historyy: The third time was the charm for the San Dimas High School volleyball team. The Saints have been knocked out in the quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section Division 3A tournament the last two years. The Saints lost the first game but battled back to beat Arrowhead Christian of Redlands, 20-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-18 at Bonita High School on Saturday to move into the semifinals for the first time in school history.
South Torrance holds off Claremont Claremont shook off a mistake-filled opening game and played an inspired match before succumbing 25-21, 27-29, 25-13, 25-22 in front of a standing-room only crowd at South Torrance’s tiny gym.
