I was under the impression that Amat didnt care about rankings....but yet your bragging about being ranked BEHIND another SGV team and is at home hoping they lose so Amat can pass them up on the ranking.....HOW PATHETIC YOU AMAT FANS ARE.

and yet this year - in spite of their "struggles" somehow Bishop Amat is still ranked #26 in the ENTIRE Southern Section, only 5 spots behind Charter Oak (until CO loses on Friday) and over 20 spots higher than Chino Hills and West Covina

Amat is not ranked you say? How can a top tier team in the Pac 5 not be ranked? Come on, Amat beat Mater Dei in 2008 they won a title in 1995, and they are the best team in the SGV.....Doesn't that count for something in the Pac 5?.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Bohi Fan: Nice post. The 3rd and 4th seeds out of the Hacienda are going to be the teams that no one wants to play in the 1st round. La Mirada, Santa Fe, Arcadia can be beaten by, Los Altos, DBar, or Bonita. I believe at least one if not two will pull off an upset. Fred commented that this looks like a down year in the Hacienda but the won loss records dont reflect the strength and physicality of the league as a whole. They have just been beating each other up. The teams have been very competitive against good opponents in most cases and they all will be ready for the playoffs. I predict an all Hacienda final in the Southeast again.

Colt, first and second place teams from the same league are on opposite sides of the bracket, which is why if Covina is No. 1 then San Dimas can't be No. 4. If Covina's one and San Dimas finishes second in the VVL, San Dimas is on the bottom half of the draw.

Seedings don't matter. Opponents don't matter.
Take care of business and whomever is lined up across from you and all the other BS will work itself out.

If you're the best you should be able to beat all comers. If you are not then I guess you worry about whom you play and when.

the two games that will decide seeding, will be the Azusa vs La Puente and San Dimas vs Pomona. La puente Losses, San Dimas wins a close one. Either way...Monrovia is going to be the team to beat coming down the stretch...The whole Valley Vista, and Olympic league know that...However Covina is really good, and So is San Dimas. It's so hard to beat a team twice, and in the midvalley someone normally has to do it... Will it be San Dimas Vs Monrovia or Covina vs Pomona/San Dimas...Idk... The playoffs are coming the playoffs are coming...pressure, pressure, pressure...the brackets will soon be out.

Honestly everybody going to have to play good teams in the playoffs regardless of seeding. Your right about crazier things have happened that is why Covina needs to come out strong!!! I have seen games that you wouldn't believe unless you were there!!!!!

If MTown moves up in the seeding above us, oh well, what are u gonna do?
No sense in complaining, never helped before. Unfortunately we have to leave it up to CIF and get ready to play whose in front of us.

Do you really believe Northview is going to beat Covina??? Seriously!!!! Covina does need to come out strong!!!! I admit its a rivalry game but Covina has an advantage in key spots!!! Northview would like nothing else but to beat Covina I just don't see happening!!!Another thing if Monrovia and SD wins this week and Monrovia is ranked higher than SD than it is a tragedy!!!!!

you forgot to put Covina in the possible upsets this week. Wouldn't that be crazy???

Even in worse case scenario, could Mtown end up ahead of Saints, even with a loss to the saints???

Well Fred lets just Mail it in for West Covina. I don't think Arcadia is all that strong either.
Of course as a Bonita fan, I would love a rematch of last years championship game. Now wouldn't that make Podley a legend. The Stars would have to align just right or if we were a catholic school AKA Almat or Damien we could all pray for a hail mary for it to halppen? I'm a man with a dream!

Looking at this Mid Valley CIF Poll Monrovia could be the number 2 seed after this weekend with a little luck on there side!!!!! Thats if Arroyo, La Puente, and San Dimas all lose!!! How about that wow!!! Do I think it will happen no, but there is a possibility that I could be wrong!!!!

darn i wish glendora could have put out a good team this year! maybe next year, however chino hills is definately a contender in the inland i see them as a much better team than charter oak although charter oak is still very talented i see them going no farther than the second round
