Boys Hoops: Damien loses to De La Salle in championship of Chris Vontoure Classic up north Posted on December 11, 2011 by Fred Robledo From Baypreps.com : Down seven entering the second quarter, De La Salle outscored Damien 18-3 to take a 23-15 halftime lead on their way to a 43-39 win for their 13th Chris Vontoure Spartan Classic championship in the last 14 seasons. Elliott Pitts scored 11 of his game-high 22 points in that second quarter and was named the tournament’s MVP. Jared Dizon had 13 to lead Damien.
